It was written by Li Xian Gi. His pen name is Huan Zhu Lou Zhu. Not sure if that is correct.

It's one of the weirdest but mysterious wuxia story about demons and warriors fighting for peace abd I like the 1990 one even they put a lot of special effects but look fake.
You meant Shu shan zhuan?
The blood demon died in the hands of the 2 protaganist, after they displayed the dual swords combination. The only skill that could defeat the blood demon, or so they say in the movie.
The newest adaptation just some years ago was pretty nice at that time, the only junk was the final epic battle with the blood demon. The blood demon pwned shaolin and other major sect with ease, yet, faced against the protaganist he lasted an amazing 10 seconds or so, literally; and the movie ended with the audience trying to piece together all the *** kickery the blood demon packed and why the hell he got pwned by 2 nubs.
還珠樓主 huan zhu lou zhu (mandarin) wan chu lau chu (cantonese)
the series is called 蜀山劍俠傳 shu shan jian ke zhuan; there is an earlier set and a later set
