Very honest. Nope, I've not heard of the duck riddle or the lawyer-doctor not twins riddle before.

I've heard of a riddle that has the same anwer as the Eskimo riddle, but the question is different.

I'm pretty sure that this is the answer to the canoe riddle.

    click to show/hide spoilers
The boys go on the canoe and one of them gets out. The other boy goes back to where the man is, then that boy gets out of the canoe and the man gets in the canoe. The man goes across the river and then gets out to allow the boy that left the canoe in the beginning to go back and bring the other boy that was left. Then the boy that was left and the boy that went to get him go across together.

    Default 3 lights

In the basement there are 3 light switches in the off position. Each switch controls 1 of 3 light bulbs on the floor above. You may move any of the switches, but you may only go up stairs one time. How can you determine which switch controls each light?

    Answer here
    click to show/hide spoilers
Turn any one switch to the "on" position for 5 minutes, then turn that switch "off". Quickly turn any other switch to the "on" position and run up stairs. Feel the two lights that are "off". One of them will be "hot" because is was "on" for 5 minutes. Obviously the "hot" bulb is controlled by the first switch you turned "on". The light that is currently "on" is controlled by the switch you last turn "on". The "cold" bulb that is "off" is controlled by the only switch left. My answer for the riddle with the light switches is:
you can turn on 2 switches and leave them on for an hour.
Remember the switches that are on and the one that is off.
Then you flip off one. Then you go upstairs, see which one is on. You feel the other 2. the one that is hot is the one that was on for an hour and is now off. The cool one was the switch that was never on.
