Default Did use of inner power for healing affect these two fights?

There are two well-known fights in wuxia that were preceded by the main participant's use of inner power to heal another, and I wonder if in either case, the performance of the participant during the fight was affected in any meaningful way.

The first is Gwok Jing during ROCH. Two nights before facing the Golden Wheel Monk, Wan Hak Sai, Siu Seung Tze, Lui Mor Singh, and Ma Gwong Jor outside of Kublai Khan's base camp, Gwok Jing had expended some of his inner power to correct a "fire deviation" that he believed Yeung Gor had suffered. Did this affect Gwok Jing in his battle against the Mongol mercenaries in any noticeable way?

The second is Sai Mun Chui Sheut during the duel. Again, about two nights before his duel with Yip Goo Sing, he had used his inner power to heal Au Yeung Ching after she had been stricken by a Tong Family poison dart. Did this contribute to his relative slowness during his duel with Yip Goo Sing?

i guess we'll have to take luk siu fung's word for it that what caused his relative slowness was thoughts of his wife and unborn child.

That accounts for the psychological end of it, but Luk Siu Fung was also previously concerned about the possibility of Sai Mun Chui Sheut being at a disadvantage after having expended some of his inner power healing Au Yeung Ching. Physically, healing Au Yeung Ching probably wasn't cost-free for Sai Mun Chui Sheut, and in a duel against an opponent such as Yip Goo Sing, it could have made a significant difference.

Yip Goo Sing was in peak form, but he had no desire to live beyond the duel, so his death, in a sense, was foreordained.

In many ways, those who witnessed the duel (including us) were cheated: we never really did see Sai Mun Chui Sheut and Yip Goo Sing duel in optimum conditions for both of them.

with a few days to recover, the experts should have gotten their inner power back. guo jing ran into some trouble when ascending the wall because he had expanded his qi earlier to help yang guo. but with his 9yinshengong, he should have recovered within two days. XMXC had more time then guo jing, he should have recovered by then as it was a few days before the duel, and he might have used medical knowledge instead of inner power to heal AYQ.
