I was considering to buy Wii... but then it doesn't have Samurai Warriors 2 or even FF.

Even with the drop in price? It's about $699 in Australia for the 40gb SKU.

oh to answer the topic, no i don't have a wii. I don't intend to get one because I see it more of a gimmick for casual gamers.

^Yeshh. I agree. Except I've been trying to get one for the past few months (since august), and all the stores are sold out. haha.

Me and my family have been trying to order them online, but it's soooo hard to get them! I'm trying to buy one off eBay right now, except they all have outrageous prices. A common store such as Toys R Us, Target, Wal Mart, and so on sell the Wii at $200-$300, but on eBay, it costs twice as much! ahhh.

I got a PS3 last January and I recently got a 360. I don't know why people complain about the PS3's price, the 360 costs a lot more. When you buy a 360 arcade package, it doesnt have a wireless network card, the wireless controller doesn't come with rechargable batteries, it doesn't come with a hard drive, it doesn't come with an HD player, Xbox Live has a fee(not that its too much to pay for but the PS network is free). I'm thinking of getting a Wii to complete the 3 major consoles but I'm not interested in its games aside from Zelda and Metroid.

I have one. It's not a normal console though. If you just want to play normal rpg games (e.g. zelda, FF) or fighting games (sf) then you're better off with normal controllers.
But it's heaps fun with racing car games and sports games which they don't really have too many of. Then there are the party/mini games collections which are too many of.
Gun games are sort of middle ground though. Some are really fun some are done with crap controls.

but if it's for a 6 year old. I wouldn't get any other console only because the wii is the cheapest and 6 year olds don't have much in terms attention spans so just get the cheapest thing.

If it's to play alone, the wii is not the best console, but with friends, boy is it fun. I had a blast playing with my cousins.

yeah, it's easy, put your email on alert with ebgames, amazon, bestbuy, circuitcity, walmart, kmart, target, buys.com ect.. + any other places that might have them instock, you'll get one in about 1 week. That's how I got my DS when it was hot, i made a list in my city that carries them and start calling + putting my email down at every possible chain, eventually one of them is gonna get to you. I actually got mine after a few days, the DS lite has a production shortage before christmas last year, it was like freaking gold (like the wii now), but the wii now isn't that hard to get, 2 month ago it was a different story.

I even got my Xbox360 with the new manufacturing chips very early, i ran around town looking at all the store and finally got one. If you're buying stuff retail price, it's not that bad, game console is very hard to get discount when it's hot though.

i dunno man, craglist/ebay is kindda flooded, i know people that does it, but it's too much trouble + it feels like you just ripped someone off. I hate that feeling.

i'm not interested in playing computer or videdo games at all. don't like them. i know a 5 y.o who has one, but he's only used it once or twice. his mum offered to give it to me, but i didn't want it. (i wouldn't have been allowed to accept it from my parents anyways).

where the hell can i get one? i am SUCH a noob; i mean the wii was released over a yr already..i didn't think u have to SEARCH for a store that has them.. i wana buy one for my lil bro n i thot i could just walk into GameStop n get it..i told my friends that and they're like "What? You found one?"

if you really want to buy at game stop, ask for the day they have new shipment and jump on it. IMO the wii sucks balls, might be fun with family, but single player gaming it's no good. If you play stuff on the PS3 and the Xbox360 you'll realize it's not up to the standard.

BTW the wii FIT is gonna come out pretty soon, i think it'll cost around 100+ like rockband and guitar hero 3

lol..well i wana get the wii cuz..i ****ING LOVE MARIO! n i heard mario galaxy was the shit so yeahhh.
i must agree tho..the wii seems to be aiming towards a younger age group that just play video games cuz they have it the xbox360 n ps3 are for the hardcore gamers which..im not although i wouldnt mind if someone wana donate them to me
