So there actually going to make a sequel to Chinese Paladin but is skipping part 2 i believe since part 2 doesn't have the main character Li Xiao Yao in there...heard that Hu Ge of course is going to play the role of LXY again but Ling Er played by Crystal Liu Yi Fei is going to be replaced with Liu Shishi or the girl playing Mu Ni Ci in the new LOTCH...well i m actually hoping that they would have more fight scenes since 3 is going to be 50 years before the first CP but the director etc are of course going to change the story to fit i guess...well got this info in hu ge's website or also in asianfanatics.net...and finally LOTCH is resuming production....well i hope this next sequel of CP will have good casting again and hope the story line isn't as draggy or boring...i need more action since this is an rpg game based.

It does sound strange. If it is true, I think what it means is Chinese Paladin 3 (the video game) will be adapted into television. So technically, in this sense, it is just making the sequel based off of Chinese Paladin 3 (the video game).

For example, a producer directs LOCH. Everyone assumes after that he will direct ROCH. But in this case, he decides to skip ROCH and instead directs HSDS.

And for those who haven't played the XJ series, why would they include Ady and Hu Ge? The timeline for the third game takes place way before the events of the first game.

CP followed the plot line for most of the story- really up till the end sections. Some parts were created, but it was pretty accurate. The characterisation was not, but that's a different matter.

To morph characters of CP3 into LXY and LRY, you may as well remake ROCH and call the lovers GJ and HR.

Xian Jian Qi Xia Zhuan 3, aka Xian Jian 3 started filming in Hengdian more than a month ago.

Xian Jian 3 is the third installment of the fantasy game series and its storyline takes place smtg like 50 years before Xian Jian 1. It's like the prequel of XJ1 whereas Xian Jian 2's storyline takes place a few years after Xian Jian 1. Hence, its possible to film 3 without 2 and vice-versa. Anyway, the characters and storyline in all 3 installments are very different and not significantly related.

HAH, actually i think the Hu Ge's whole costume looks like a set of pyjamas. And his hair makes him look like he's just got up from bed too. I just hope he wont be looking like this for much of the series.

I prefer YM's first costume too, though the 2nd one reminds me of Ady's (Yue Ru) in Xian Jian 1 (Chinese Paladin). I think Liu Shi Shi looks the prettiest out of the female leads. Very snow white-like. Probably so because her character's supposed to be a princess.

LOL. I'm definitely not big on tie-dye shirts but at least he's wearing something over it. Or maybe he'll end up losing the tie-dye shirt altogether as the series progresses.

Oh man, i definitely don't like Wallace's look in the series. But the more i look at Yang Mi's outfits, the more i really like them. Especially the 2nd one. She looks really cute and spunky like that. Though it seems like more people will probably prefer her first outfit more.

And who's the last pic of? Is that also Tang Yan?

ah, poor yang mi. she looks so worn out. poor girl needs to rest in order to be able to gain weight (she was soooo much prettier back in the days). anyhow, i like her costumes actually, it give her more personality although i like liu shi shi's princess outfit more (it is a bit much for an ancient series). anyone notice that yang mi's second outfit also sports atie- dyed fabric for her skirt??? matches with huges. not really crazy about the costumes (i was hoping for something more simple but more elegant), but i'll wait and see as this thread progresses with more pix.

Oh yeah, i guess her skirt is on the tie-dyed side huh? I guess it's more subtle and works better with her outfit. But that's funny how she and Hu Ge have relatively "matching" outfits.

should i assume that unlike xian jian 1 where there's a love triangle between 2 female leads and 1 male lead, in xian jian 3, we will see a love triangle between 2 male leads and 1 female lead?
