Hailed as "Little Ziyi" (After Zhang Ziyi), Zhang Jingchu is the lastest chinese media darling. She stars as a heroine addict and an abused wife (which apparently won her many praises) in the latest HK mega-production, "Protégé", directed by Derek Yee, produced by Peter Chan, and showcases other huge names like Andy Lau, Daniel Wu and Louis Koo. Another movie which she stars as lead in, entitled "Jade Warrior" is set to be released in the states soon and she is branching out to hollywood with her debut hollywood role in "Rush Hour 3". Rumours has it that she replaced Gong Li as the lead actress in RH3. Zhang Jingchu also had a guest role in Tsui Hark's movie "Seven Swords".

Yes she does resemble Joyce somewhat. She doesnt look exceptionally beautiful but has a rather demure and sweet face. It seems that she's pretty talented in acting, directing etc. I havent seen her in action before but i've heard her sing one of the "Seven Sword" themesongs, a duet with Lu Yi entitled "Ming Yue Guang", which was the song used for the trailer clip of series "Da Ren Wu" starring Nicholas Tse and she has a pretty sweet voice. It seems that she has dancing background as well because she's a pretty flexible lady. I saw one of the making clips for "Jade Warrior" and she executed several fighting stunts herself.

I really like Zhang JingChu. She doesn't star in many TV series, as she does
mostly movies now.
A pretty girl with excellent acting skills.

For me, I thought she didnt too well in Rush Hour 3. Didnt look too natural for her in American's movies. Looked like she was trying too hard. It was natural Chris & Jackie.
