catherine zeta jones (she's definitely one of the most beautiful woman out there, too bad she married such a old hubbie, not that i dont like MIchael douglass. He's very lucky.)

Reese Witherspoon( i like Reese the most, all her movies were great to me. Her movies were all variety and its' great)

The ladies on my list are all from the old Hollywood. You may never seen any of their films (but you should seek them out), they are mostly from the 1930s to the 1960s. Many of them have passed away some time ago, but they left their marks on Film history.

I think beauty has alot to do with most people's selections, certainly. Today that seems to be all the is necessary to be considered an great actress by most peoples standards (present company excluded, or so I'd like to think) "Is she Hot? Yes. Ok, then she must be a fantastic actress".

Back in the day, A pretty face would only get you so far, women really had to prove themselves to good actresses or be relegated to B roles or total obscurity. As Gene Kelly's character in Cover Girl (1944) was fond of saying "You don't get to the Top on your face, you get there on your feet", which is a philosophy lost on many today.

if you've seen notes on a scandal, i thought she looked very beautiful in that film, and she definitely deserved the nomination for that role, unlike for example, ZZY in Memoirs of a Geisha.
