Didn't have time to. Was "supposed" to be working on a school project. Procrastinating to post here.
They have so many great songs it's tough to list them all. But here is:
Really Love You
----------
A pair of unadornable hands
Brings out the warmth and is always supporting me*
Although sometimes nagging she always cares, I regret not knowing how to appreciate
My obsession with music she didn't agree with
But Mother's love never wavered
I am determined to wash away my internal struggles, her parental love will finally be repaid
The spring breeze brings rain and warms my heart through and through
A lifetime of tender care given without words
It is your such soothing gaze
That teaches me to steadfastly focus ahead
Reminding me even if I fall I should not give up
I can't explain how to repay the parental love in full
Love is vast and without bounds
Please let me say that I really love you
Still remember a pair of soothing hands
Still taking care of me without change
Dreams have finally come true today hope we can share the glory
-------
*literally, "dai chu wen nuan zai bei hou," says that the mother's hands is always on his back. It sounds kinda creepy in English, so I made it into always supporting him, which is what the verse means to say.
Probably can be translated better to sound better.
I remember during their '03 concert in Atlantic City, Beyond didn't actually play this song live. The only song they didn't play live that night if my memory is correct. They played a music video onscreen (a new version, without Ka Kui, full of Mahjong playing, floor sweeping, heading shaking hilarious moms)
I would like to link to the mp3s of these songs but I am afraid that might violate forum rules of no music sharing.
Back in undergraduate college, late 90's, I hosted a webpage and put my translations of a lot of their songs on it, but I forgot to save the files and lost them all after graduation.
