i've never been, but i really want to. my aunt and cousins are there. is it really busy and filled with heaps of people? it sounds good. i'd love to go shopping there, but the american currency is quite expensive compared to the australian currency, and my parents probably wouldn't let me buy that much.

    Default New York, New York

So I am back in NY, this time I thought I will do it properly.

What are the recommended places for people who've visited the statues and empire states etc.?

Is there also a faster way to go from Flushing to mid-Brooklyn other than going via manhatten? I know there are buses, but having to bus then subway then bus takes about same time as manhatten bypass.

What are the food places I must visit?

ps Mods there is another thread, but it's NY lunches, so I thought I will spam a new thread. Feel free to combine.

You could call a taxi if you don't mind the expense. I think the G subway goes between Bklyn and Qns. I dont take that train so I would need to check the map to confirm.

Just visit the NYC Metro Transit Authority's website to look at the subway/bus maps.

You're probably better off hanging out in the Time Sq area than going to the ESB or the Stat. of Lib. Check out FLushing's chinatown too. It's a bit of an "upgrade" over the Lower Manhattan, original, Chntown.

I watched Broadway when I went there last summer haha. I watched Hair Spray and there's a place to get tickets at half price! hahahaa...

Now I think of George Hu Yu Wei when I think of NYC. Rainie on variety shows keep referring to George Hu as "Niu Yue Ren" just means "New York Person" ahhaaa. damn funny.

The food I found nice was those stores where u weigh ur food? And u pay by price. It's expensive in New York to eat and stuff ahha so that was the best I think aha. Yummy! I heard Chinatown has cheap food too!

Didn't get to visit MoMA. Natural history was ok, but more school kid orientated and nothing special from other science museums.

Metropolitan museum, now that was awesome, so big. Wasn't satisfied even after 2 visits.

I like the museum of natural history. The Met... meh, not so much.

I don’t like art too much. Look! There’s a famous painting by so and so.

    Whatever dude.

The best thing I did in NYC was catching a Broadway show near Times Square. I thought I would hate it, but boy, was I in for a surprise. Loved it.
