    Default la crepe

I'm not the biggest fan of French food (most of it is too fussy for my tastes), but there are two French dishes that appeal to my palette: one is escargots, and the other is sweet crepes. This discussion concerns the latter.

There are creperies in many countries other than France. One of the best of these is La Crepe Bretagne in downtown Vancouver, Canada at the intersection of Robson and Jervis. I haven't eaten enough crepes in different places to compare, but for my money, La Crepe Bretagne just might feature the best crepes outside of French borders.

IHOP's crepes can't be as good as La Crepe Bretagne's.

Cafe Presto is where I go for sweet crepes when I'm at work. It's right across the streets and they deliver until 9pm. I love working second shift because I don't have to feel guilty when I eat at 8pm.

the best crepes i had were an apple crepe in vegas, and a savory chicken and carrots and peas crepe in boston. yum.

i know most ppl like sweet crepes, but you guys should give savory crepes a try. they'll surprise you.

I've had all sorts of crepes, with Nutella, Cinnamon and sugar, whipped cream, confiture. I've also had a ham and cheese crepe, which was quite nice. I don't get a chance to eat them often, though we do have plenty of places around here than make them.

gasp, NO! they're neither wrapped nor rolled. it's just like a regular sweet crepe, folded, but with different fillings inside. from chicken, to veggies, to steak, to seafood, etc. really more like a meat pie.

It actually reminds me of a breakfast dish in Tianjin, the ones that they sell at the food trolley by the side of the streets. I love chicken and avocado. Great........now I'm hungry.

    Nutella + banana crepes!!

But Japanese crepes are even better. Where I used to live, there was a great French crepe and a great Japanese crepe shop that charged very reasonable prices for crepes stuffed with fillings and cream, both of which CLOSED DOWN due to poor business.

Then there was a horrible one that called itself French crepe at my old workplace. It charged 30% more for a SUGAR crepe WITHOUT cream that comes BURNT. Brainless people FLOCKED to go there. Blind, tasteless people!!
