Living in Houston my whole life, I have never properly visited Dallas... which is only 4 hours north of Houston. I passed through it a couple of times but never stayed long enough to check out the city. But an opportunity has presented itself.

I heard there's a State Fair in Dallas for the next 3 weekends. Has anyone been to it? Is it worth the 4 hours drive? What's there to do at the fair? I wouldn't mind making the trek if it's fun. I smell another mini-road trip coming on.

I'm heading to LA this weekend btu I'm going the state fair next weekend. Is worth the 4 hrs drive?????? NO. Really. If you enjoy Good food then you should. However, all my friends called you "my Hotline Boy" so maybe we should meet up then. My friends and I can take you around. State Fair, then to KARMA..let me know.

Hotline Boy?!? Hahaha.. I can't even disagree with you because I signed up for T-Zone yesterday JUST so I can check football scores when I don't have access to the internet. It's hard checking up on my bets when I'm lying on the beach.

You're going to LA next week huh. So many of my friends are going there this year. I've heard nothing but good things so I'm sure you'll have fun over there.

Since you volunteer to be my tour guide, I'll be stupid not to accept right.

But I don't plan on heading to the State Fair till the weekend of Oct. 19-21. I just have to convince my friend from Austin to head to Dallas as well so he can stay at his friend's place and I can stay with him. Hehe. Save a little on hotel.

Nah, didn't attend UTA. The shirt idea is really cool though, if spcnet is selling spcnet shirts I'd gladly order a couple.

I really don't think it's a good idea for you to stay around the Statefair area. it's considered a bad area in Dallas.

I just hope the weekend you are visiting arent the week of the TEXAS and OU game. it'll be really crazy.

Maybe I'll let you rent out the room at my house...

I haven't book anything yet. Right now I'm looking into whether or not it's cheaper to fly. Which it isn't because it's $178.80 roundtrip on Southwest plus I have to rent a car when I get there. So looks like I'll be driving. After driving from Panama City to Houston, 4 hours is nothing.

Now, I'm gonna ask some friends to see who wanna go with me so I can split hotel cost.

You're still gonna show me around right CanDEE? The only thing I got plan is the state fair. After that, I don't know what else to do.
