To me Xiezhi has excellent leadership qualities who can even step behind the scenes for the good of the group. 'He Cai' album is just a recent example of many - how many lead singers are willing to sing vocal harmony and encourage Shaowei and Mengzhe to step forward more in their singing ?

Yeah, I would like to see him in an original new plot more. . .My fav types of story is those with mystery; therefore, I don't really enjoy remakes and would hate to see all those jinyong critics rip his show apart just because they are biased with the previous versions.

I thought the majong show was quite funny in the beginning. . .especially shaowei and xiaoqiao's interaction. haha. . .love how they were totally fighting over the peices. . .acting as married couple really makes them look like one in real life. XD Xiezhi doesn't look like he has the endurance to play the game long. . .kinda seemed bored after a few rounds. I don't get how those hk housewives can go 36-74 rounds (haha. . .sorry, I'm steriotyping. . .too many tvb series for me ). So crazy >.<

The harbin show does look interesting. . .especially the part where xiezhi was doing the voice practices. Can't wait for when it airs.

Yeah, I think you're completely right, Jules. People who are lead singers don't generally want to do harmony. . .I was just watching this clip yesterday with these 3 solo singers. Normally they are quite good on their own. . .but on the show they were singing together and none of them tried to be harmonizer and all sung their own way with really strong voices and it was so painful for the ears!!! . . .yet their fans still praise them. . .I don't understand how they are able to hear their idols in that mess. ^^; It is definately a commendable feat for xiezhi to be willing to take the backseat sometimes and it really shows his good character. ^^

I agree with you guys that the Jinyong critics would rip apart any new remakes. Oh well- as long as it is a wuxia series with a good plot. I am glad about the continued good ratings for the Mo Jian series. It will definitely bring him more deserved recognition (and hopefully more tv series roles!).

I found Xiezhi's harmonizing in the Bravo album really nice too, plus yes it really shows that he is willing to step out of the spotlight at times to let the other band members shine. What a considerate guy!

Xiezhi" good qualities were already evident from the early shows that 56 were in even as far back as 2002. If any of you have caught the show Xi Cong Tian Jiang where the rest of 56 conspired with the hosts to 'zhen' Xiezhi, you will get what I mean.

Ya, I saw Xi Cong Tian Jiang and it shows that he is really a considerate and great guy. Also from what he said at interviews, it seems that he is happy only when his family and friends are happy. He thinks so little of himself and seems that his sole purpose in life is to work hard and earn money so that his family can have a good and comfortable life. Such a selfless guy ...

I read somewhere (can't remember where) that because he had the lead role in MVP Valentine, he actually suggested that another 56 member, probably Renfu take on the lead role in Westside Story. However, Settv boss felt that he IS You YaYu so insisted that he take on that role.

Fortunately his 56 brothers are also good guys. The song Jian Ao which Xiezhi duet with Cyndi Wang is actually a song written for Renfu, probably planning for him to go solo after his Postmen days. But Renfu felt that the song suited Xiezhi more so gave it to him to sing.

Thanks very much for the clips, exadel! Yes- I cleaned a lot of junk from my computer recently so tuduo seems to be running ok now. I would really like to save some of the clips though since it's hard to find their variety shows here. I may check the savetube programs.

It is very easy to save youtube clips. Just go to this link http://keepvid.com/ then copy & paste the youtube url there & click download. After saving the file, you have to rename it and remember to type "flv" extension. Do install the flv player first http://applian.com/flvplayer/?src=KeepvidPlay for it to work. The only setback is the flv screen is quite small.

That's why I prefer to bitcom or emule the shows, they are much clearer and can be shown on full screen. If you have not installed the programs, you can get them here. Remember to check your bt or emule settings after installing the programs.

Yes, the wangyu clip of Xiezhi eating is cute, and the owner looks like he geninuely enjoys Xiezhi's company. I like the part where the crew was laughing at Xiezhi who can't count how much the owner earns each day.

5566 was in Wuhan yesterday and here's a picture of them at the call-in program. Btw, it is more or less confirmed that Shaowei has changed his name from 王绍伟 to 王少伟.

The father Wang Renfu: Love

Q: The preface you wrote for Jiqin's book "The diary of the 10 months of love" is very touching. Can you tell us your feelings at that time?

Q: Which is your favourite song in Bravo album?
A: They all like "Bright Moon" but I prefer "Wu Hui Da Le" because Shaowei and I were more involved in this song. The tune and lyrics were completed by me and it has some elements of electronic music which I like.

Q: You like electronic music?
A: No la. Actually, I like hip-hop music but this is not the style of 56. So, I am still searching for my own direction.

Q: Any works for you as an individual next?
A: Well what I will be doing next is to look for my own music direction. I really want to do hip-hop but .... (looking flustered).

Conclusion: As 56's little brother, Mengzhe is now becoming more independent in his thinking.
