Can't remember when or where he mentioned about crying scenes but it was definitely sometime back. Remember that scene in Westside Story where You Yayu finally acknowledged his father and he was crying when eating the ice-cream bought by his father. Because the character of Yayu is almost a reflection of Xiezhi's character and his real life situation, so a lot of fans were touched by that scene and thought that Xiezhi must have felt very sad and cried for real in that scene.

But Xiezhi said that he can't cry easily so he had to rely on eye-drops for that scene in Westside Story! Xiezhi's acting has improved as you can tell that his crying scenes in ZQMTX are for real because his eyes do redden and tear up. I think Director Feng Kai is able to bring out the best in him.

As expected, the ratings dropped as the typhoon season is over in Taiwan but it is encouraging that last week's rating of 3.96 is an improvement over the previous ratings of about 3.86. The ratings for the 1st-rank show used to be more than 6 but now the gap between the 2 shows is closing.

Really? I couldn't tell- I thought that scene in Westside Story is pretty convincing. But I really applaud his acting in the new series. The ratings are not bad since the series at #1 dropped a bit as well.

Yeah- I was touched by that scene too- must have re-watched it 3 times already. Plus the cool fight scene where he is carrying the metal pipe- watched that scene a few times as well.

Sob! Sob! I was crying so hard through episode 38, I could hardly see the screen anymore. You sort of wish that Mingjie will lose his memory so that he won't feel so upset. For some reason, I'm not able to hate xing ge, in my opinion, he's really not a bad guy. I can't wait for the next episode.

Ahh- I have to watch it now. By the way, I read (with the help of Google) on the SETTV forum that Xiezhi is so into the character that now he has depression. Also because the ratings are not as good as anticipated. Could be an exagerration, but it's hard to say because sometimes it is hard for actors to get out of character. It must really be quiet in taiwan recently, the reporters are starting up on the rumour of XZ and his female lead again. The report even reads like the same report months ago. The so called dating photos were so obviously taken on set. Where else will you see a directors chair, in a carpark. Best of all I even recognise which scene it was on ZQMTX.

Just had a thought. The script writers had said that MJ will dump his GF later on. I wonder if he's going to be with Fang's daughter (his mum stepdaughter)? Since they've been implying her exsistence for a long time. If so I wonder who is it the role is going to.

I have to repeat that he looks so cool in fighting scenes. He has that sort of wuxia hero look. Really wish he will film another wuxia series!

This person said that she saw a couple kissing in a car and then saw their faces clearly when they got out. She said that they are acting in a 8pm drama and gave 3 clues (a) 5566 (b) triangle-love (c) good-looking couple. Because of the 1st clue, netizens guessed that they are Xiezhi and Youting. She then clarified that her 1st clue implies that 5566 acts in that show and not the person she saw & besides Xiezhi and Youting do not match her 3rd clue so their guesses are wrong. She gave more clues and the netizens then guessed correctly that the couple she saw is Tang Feng & Li Yan (Fang Jianzhou & WeiWei in ZQMTX).

The Apple Daily reporter either did not read the complete post or just want to stir up more rumours about Xiezhi & Youting. The other newspapers did report that the couple is Tang Feng & Weiwei. Of course, both of them denied that they were together that day.

Btw, I liked the hospital scene where Mingjie was told about the truth of his parentage. I thought his expressions were really good for someone who had to act lying down. Oh well, this week's Mingjie is getting more negative comments from the viewers as Mingjie is filled with hatred for ZiHong. Nevertheless, I can still understand why Mingjie is behaving this way. I still hope that Mingjie will end up with XiaoFang, who really understands and stand-by him. Perhaps when Mingjie becomes a true-blue villian, he may make use of Fang's daughter to take revenge on Fang or (my wish) the scriptwriters can pair her with ZhiLiang.

Poor Xiezhi, his schedule is so tight. Seems that he has no time to rehearse, hope that their performance will not disappoint the Vietnam fans who are probably seeing them live for the first time.

Gee- what a tight schedule! Poor Xiezhi! I guess he doesn't have the time to attend the rehearsal. I wonder how long the concert is? But I'm sure he will do well since he is such a perfectionist.

BTW I just watched the hospital scene and he was really convincing- his voice even sounded very different.

Mingjie finally acknowledges his mother in episode 43 and that part is really touching. Good to see Mingjie smile again as he had been so unhappy since his release from prison. Also, the scene of Mingjie and big baddie Fang in the hospital is so cute, wonder if they will have a truce or if Mingjie will join forces with Xing Ge to fight against Fang.

Anyways, I am glad to see Xiezhi looks relaxed and happy in the photos. Hope he feels better. According to the WQYL interview, he does admit that he has a bit of depression acting as Mingjie since he can't get out of character easily, but he thinks it can be cured with some rest. Here's the clip:

According to one of the latest reports about ZQMTX, Zax was visiting Tony when they were filming the scene where he accepted his mother in the hospital.

It's nice to know that they are still so close. I've always felt that if anyone could help XZ relax, it'll probably be Zax. Cause 5566 did say that other than work, they don't really contact each other privately. Previously I was watching WQYL and Zax mentioned that he was chatting on the phone with Feng kai (director) and XZ, and they asked if he's going to visit them during filming and joke if he wanted to make a cameo appearance in ZQMTX.

Just wondering, do the rest of you also feel that out of all the taiwanese idols, 5566 seems to be the only ones that are very close to the backstage crew (camera men / producers / directors) and older actors / artists. Basically with the older generation in general. Most other famous idols seems to be friends with each other. Well older artists is mainly because of XZ, many of them would tell of how they watch him grew up.

Yup- I thought Zax visiting Xiezhi on set was so sweet. Zax said he was moved by the scene where Mingjie finally acknowledges his mother.

Hmm- I thought Xiezhi was friendly with Sam and played baseball with Jason? And I remember Xiezhi mentioning on a show last year about his experience watching a horror movie with Jason. I think it is one of the shows where he went to promote Full Count and showed off his horror movie collection.

Anyways, I agree with you that 5566 (especially Xiezhi) seems to be very friendly with older generation artists, more so than other idol groups.

I agree, older artistes who know Xiezhi seem to be fond of him. Actually Renfu also started out in showbiz in his teens but somehow you don't hear the older artistes talking about him as much.

Xiezhi is really professional. I am sure he is so tired filming ZQMTX and has no time to rehearse for this concert yet he still remembers all his dance steps.

Judging from their clothes, the magazine interview should be done during their 2nd round of promotions in China. So should be early this year.

Thanks for all of the clips and news! I haven't been caught up with his Taiwanese series since those are soooo long... I didn't know that they already went to VN. I thought that they would not go until next year.When did they go? I hope that they enjoyed their stay. I am so proud of them and XZ.
