I had no idea that Xiezhi exited from ZQMTX suddenly. Did they show any reason for Mingjie's disappearance? Anyways, I think the only positive thing about that show was that it made more people aware of Xiezhi's acting talents.

About the J-Star announcement, does Chris Ko mean that they will have new bands in Taiwan, China and Vietnam? Hopefully it will also mean that 5566 will have a new album.

Haha, that was why I stopped talking about ZQMTX and did not bother to post the weekly ratings anymore. In episode 140 both Mingjie & XiaoFang resigned from their Taipei job and Mingjie said he will bring XiaoFang to China to carve out their future. They did not appear again since that episode. So in the show, they did explain the disappearance of Mingjie though they did not have any farewell or airport scenes unlike the last time when he left for China with his mom.

Viewers guessed that it is because Lian Jingwen (XiaoFang) had to concentrate on her new show so she had no time to film ZQMTX. Since Mingjie's purpose in ZQMTX is just to be her love-interest so he had to exit the show with her. But who knows, there could be some other reason for his exit.

Btw, episode 140 was shown on 6 Jan 09 which means that filming for his last scene should have been completed about 1 or 2 days before that. That news report about Xiezhi hinting at a plot by the TV station was also on 6 Jan 09. So timing-wise, it does not make sense that Xiezhi was made to leave ZQMTX because of his remarks. I am sure the reporters just want to write something eye-catching in their news article.

I was watching an old episode of Kangxi yesterday and the guests are 8pm stars, including Li Luo (Mingjie's father). They said that filming for 8pm shows usually last throughout the nights and they normally sleep about 2 or 3 hours daily. The female guest said that she hadn't slept for 3 continuous days already. But despite this, some artistes do not want to ask the scriptwriters to give them a much needed rest because they may be written out of the show for about 1 - 2 months which means a loss of income for them.

Based on what they said, I guess Xiezhi or Sun Zhong must have asked the producers to give him a rest from filming so Mingjie was made to leave for China with his mom during that first time. Now, for this 2nd departure ... let me guess. Perhaps Sun Zhong expressed his unhappiness that the role of Mingjie is no longer significant or challenging. Or maybe since the role is no longer important to the show, Sun Zhong asked for Xiezhi to exit the show so that he can concentrate on Jstar or 5566 products and to help develop and promote their new bands.

Filming for 8pm shows sounds like a very unpleasant and tiring experience which is also harmful to their health. Personally, I rather Xiezhi earns a regular income from hosting jobs and his management position in Jungiery rather than slog over 8pm shows and had to be stressed over the ratings war and endure negative gossips about himself.

hotasuki & pat/clare - I just checked the Starhub online programming guide and the CNY episode of BWGDX will be shown on channel 54 on 24 Jan 09 (Saturday, eve of eve of CNY) from 7pm - 9pm.

Oh, this may not be the episode with 5566 because according to the online programming guide, ch54 will telecast "BWDGX 牛年群星会 百万贺新年" on 26 Jan (Mon) from 10pm to 1am and the guests are "请看NONO、5566、卓文萱、唐禹哲等著名艺人如何为争夺巨额奖金过肥年，使出浑身解数，记歌词、搞 笑！节目内容丰富，不容错过！"

Perhaps they have other guests for the Sat episode but I will watch both shows just to be sure. The good thing is the Mon episode with 5566 is 3 hours long. Dare I hope that not much will be edited out since the show is longer than its usual duration! Btw, ch54 will be showing the Diamond Nightclub on 25 Jan (Sun) from 7pm to 10pm. This should be the episode with Shaowei.

Seems that for this CNY, 5566 is only in the BWDGX. I wonder if there will be anything special for WQYL this year?

Oh btw, ChU is also showing the BWDGX episode with 5566 on 27 Jan (Tue) but I won't be watching it because dialects are not allowed on our local TV so Xiezhi's beautiful taiyu songs will definitely be cut out.

Filming for the next 8pm show has halted temporarily because of problems with the scriptwriters or scipts (can't remember which). This means that ZQMTX will drag on longer than expected. Some viewers were wondering if those characters that disappeared from show could thus be written back in. Personally, I hope that they don't bring Mingjie back to the show because I rather he concentrate on Jstar new projects now.

You are right about WQYL. From the online programming guide, seems that WQYL is still shown on its usual 1-hour 10pm timeslot during CNY. In the past, they used to have 2 or 3-hours special programmes in the afternoons. I just hope that even if there aren't any special CNY editions for WQYL, they could at least get all 5566 members to be in the show together.

Haven't seen last night's WQYL yet. Good that Renfu confirmed that a new Jstar product will be coming out soon. Yes, wonder what could it be.

I'm so happy that one of the Chinese pay tv stations here is broadcasting the BWDGX episode with 5566 tomorrow night!!! Can't wait to see Xiezhi performing taiyu songs!

Yeah, I will be watching BWDGX tonight. Glad that they are showing Renfu/Mengzhe first and then followed by Xiezhi/Shaowei which means that I can keep awake and watch all 5566 tonight and not have to rely on my recorded version tomorrow. Fans at the live recording said that Renfu/Mengzhe sang first and Xiezhi/Shaowei was the last team to sing so I am glad that they are showing Xiezhi/Shaowei earlier. Perhaps the producers felt that they should not disrupt the high atmosphere that Renfu/Mengzhe created.

p/s: I don't know anything about XZ's personal relationship with Zhou. But I do know that all the 'evidence' that the media has presented so far are all false, logically flawed, & possibly from the TV station, especially, the 'dating' photos from yang ming shan. It's absolutely ridicules, cause you can see the director's chair and a post for holding the filming lights in the photographs. Plus I recognised the scene from ZQMTX.

Thank goodness for the fan's clips because they did snip out parts of them talking and about half of Shaowei's song. Also annoyed that they cut out the beginning of that beautiful song, Chen Yuan. Anyway, can't ask for more because they showed all their songs and I have re-watched it several times already.

About XZ, ZYT and Ma ... well, there is a possibility that Ma lost interest in ZYT and then used XZ as an excuse to break off with her. But then again, being seen with another gal need not necessarily mean anything but frankly I am not interested in both Zhou and Ma so can't care less whether they are together or not, except that they shouldn't drag XZ into the picture or maybe it is the reporters who deliberately slant their reports that way.

As for me, I do not like ZYT so I am glad that she and XZ may not end up together. You can call me shallow because when I first saw ZYT I feel that she is too skinny and not pretty enough for XZ

Also I do not like it that her name is linked to every male lead that she starred with. Of course, these gossips may not be true and I admit that I do not like her enough to bother to try to understand her better or try to analyse the news reports deeper. But what annoyed me most was when XZ/Mingjie left ZQMTX for the first time, ZYT then wrote on her blog that filming ZQMTX is now more relaxed and fun. Oh, come on. I am sure it is because of her lousy acting that she couldn’t carry out those emotional scenes with Mingjie so she has no one but herself to blame if she is too stressed out filming the show.

About reporters, I am sure sometimes they know the truth but deliberately skewed their stories to make it more eye-catching. From the talk shows I watched, it seems that we just can't believe some of the gossip stories the reporters write about. I remember these examples:

A seasoned reporter admitted that when they saw a group of people together, they will edit the photo and only show the 2 stars they are writing about because the other faces are unimportant to their story.

Zhang BenYu said in a particular 8pm show that she acted in, she disliked her married male co-star because he bullies her so she was annoyed when gossip reports said that there is something romantic is going on between them. So there is no basis for those gossips except perhaps to generate publicity for the show.

A gossip report showed a back view of a long-haired girl with a guy and the reporter claimed that this model (can't remember her name) is dating the guy and so forth. When the model and her company complained that it is not her in the picture, the reporter even argued that he won't bother writing about her if she is not famous implying that she should be thankful that she is in the news even if the story is fake.
