Also, yesterday's WQYL mentioned XZ & DXQ at the wedding. Even showed a clip of them waving to each other when DXQ walked past the aisle with the best man. Definitely no hard feelings between them. Possibly still .... I don't know. But if there was any change in emotions, DXQ seems really happy to see XZ.

Ya, at least they are smiling and waving to each other naturally and not giving each other those awkward or polite smiles. Guess only they themselves and perhaps 56, especially Shaowei know what's really happening. It is rare to see Shaowei or 56 at a loss of words during an interview.

Btw, some China fans spoke to Renfu when he was there to record the show he is hosting. Renfu has no idea when 5A will be out and said that he will release his 2nd book in March. Well, let's see if this piece of news is true.

Darn- I was really hoping that 5A would be out soon. Anyways, I am really hoping that Xiezhi has another series coming up/ or hosting job. BTW I was watching old episodes of A Story in Taiwan and I must say that Xiezhi is a great host, even back then when he was just starting out.

It would be interesting to see Xiezhi back on BWDGX- I wonder if he would do better by himself?

Well, it's really non of our business now but ZQMTX finally became the first. Because of AnAn's story. I knew it. There was something about AnAn's Character that appealedto the viewers that most of XZ's fans wanted MJ to be paired with AnAn but the script had to pair him up with SF.

Yap, ratings for ZQMTX had been improving recently with the AnAn storyline and it has finally risen to top spot last week. Shows that viewers still prefer dramatic storylines and interesting characters. Also proves that viewers appreciate good acting which probably explains why Chen ZhaoRong and Zhou YouTing with their one-dimensional acting "skills" are now more or less sidelined in the show. It is a pity that Xiezhi was in the show so early because at that time the producers chose to sacrifice Mingjie when they mistakenly thought that only Chen and Zhou can pull in the ratings. Anyway, I am glad that Xiezhi is out of this show and hopefully he doesn't return to it at all.

If I recall correctly, the problem with the next show is because one of the scriptwriters left so they had to find a replacement. Not sure if filming has resumed for the show.

So far no news about Xiezhi so not sure what's he doing now. Btw, a recent news about Shaowei mentioned that he will start filming a show in March. The guess is the show could be the sequel to Huan Xi Lai Dou Zhen.

Just heard that the Star Awards for Singapore artists will be held on the 26th of april. By then, will they invite 56 to come and give away awards or not i'm not that sure.

I read in another forum that Xiezhi may be returning to ZQMTX. I'm two sided about this because I don't want him to be blamed again for any change in the ratings. If I recall correctly, I think the last time he took an extended break and then came back, the ratings went up- so all this blame is pointless. It would be better if he took on another project/series.


In the meantime, I really hope that 5A will come out soon. Since 5566's contract ends this year, I guess there has been a lot of speculation about whether or not they will break up. Hopefully Chris Ko's statement about this is final.

If the series is ending, I don't mind if the appearance is for a happy ending. I don't really want him to be all stressed out by the show again.

Last time there were some complains on the J-star forum that they've removed XZ's name from the ZQMTX forum. Was back again when I checked so not sure what's going on.

Yap if XZ is going back to ZQMTX, i really hope he will go back and film the last episode where they get the 6 kids together and had a happy ending. I also don't want him to be stressed up and loss his black hair again.

Agree with you bonniec1 i want to see him in another series! He really deserves a good script.

The only reason I can think of them wanting MJ back for the main story would be to pair up with AnAn, to recognise her efforts & promote her to one of the leads. If so definitely caused by internal politics of the TV station.

If so I hope that they wrote Shaofang married someone else, otherwise MJ will be scolded by the viewers.

If so, then i think SF should return back as well so that at least MJ will not be blame by the viewers for leaving her to marry An An.

Actually i really don't want XZ to return back to ZQMTX. I want him to concentrate in his other projects and not just filming this series.

Well I guess I wouldn't mind if Xiezhi went back for some episodes at the end of the show to wrap things up. BWT TTV is holding a poll for which artist(s) people most want to see in BWDGX. Glad to say that 5566 is leading by a huge margin!

Not a lot of news on 5566 but quite a lot on renfu. Just released his book so might appear with wife, (I know they've appeared on kangxi and a couple of programmes, not shown yet). Hopefully, XZ might appear with him on BWDGX to support him.

Last night's WQYL JQ was the guess star and RF and MZ were the host. Quite interesting to see JQ and RF together.

Big news, big news, Nothing to do with XZ unfortunately. Wonder when's he going to come out from his 'retreat'?

RF is going to have a new programme. He's co-hosting with his wife. (in the works, nothing confirmed yet.) Think he's going double now instead of a band. Wonder if thry going to cut an album again instead of with 5566.

But just as well. depending on the programme type, as typical with most shows hosted by 5566, the first guest are always the other members, but if the programme about marriage or children, then I suppose they won't be able to help..

But just as well, I just hope he mentions about his members frequesntly so people remember them. Just as well, because, it seems like married couples are getting more and more popular on taiwanese TV now, especially the wives of popular artist. & he's the only idol that's married in the scene right now.

The older artist are also starting to appear on scene again. I think it's a sign that the people are starting to get really sick of those teeny pop idols that just look cute & have absolutely no talent at all, as well as those B-class artist that have neither looks nor talent (more talent than the idols, but insufficient to make a name for themselves). Strangely, since the last 2 years, the ex-idols became really popular, even in the european/american scene.

especially the bands, spice gals, take that, backstreet boys?, the next thing you know, xiao hu dui might actually return with an album / concert.

was watching today's WQYL about their story. Last time I had said that XZ's story will make a good drama because got all the elements of hard life + love story, RF's romance will also make a good plot. In fact 10 years down the road, they could consider using 5566's story as a plot.

on the SET forum they said that XZ is temporarily 'bi4 guan1' I've translated it as retreat. you can say it's a rest or break lah. I assume that thare are lots of things he needs to sort out.

Thanks for the updates, hotasuki. Oh- so they did mention that Xiezhi was 'bi guan'. Hmmm- wonder why? Well, I just hope that he gets a good rest. Really hope to see him back soon.
