There are a few pictures buried amongst the long posts. XZ is dressed up like Mingjie in this show ... doesn't he feel hot wearing 2 pieces for competitve games? According to the fans, this show will be broadcast next Sunday.

During one of the breaks, the fans asked XZ about 5th album and his reply is not likely to be out in the near future as nowadays albums are hard to sell. They also said that the fierce female director of the show was impressed by XZ so she told the crew to turn on his mike during the game segments as he can help liven up the show.

Btw, the other team is led by Qian XiaoHao (HK action star) and XZ's team won in the end.

Exadel, when i click into the tudou link, i only saw big words of the title of the show on the top centre of the screen.

Their contrack with warner is going to end at the end of the year right? And they still have another album with warner right? So i think they will come with an album before their contrack ends. But whether will they comeup as an compulation or not i don't know. But hope not. I want 5A!!!

Oh dear, if the guy in orange top & white bermudas is Qian XiaoHao, then he really change so much over the years. I love watching swordfighting shows so I have seen quite a number of his series. He was so trim and fit then as he is one of those guys who really knows martial arts. Haven't heard about him since the scandal some years back so was surprised that he look so different now.

I am not sure about 5566 contract with Warner but yesterday XZ did say that when would 5A be released depends on Warner. I am not particular about the theme for 5A so long as they go back to their winning formula and get some good & memorable songs and not just make an album that only their fans will buy.

I do hope XZ can release solo albums which personally I think may sell better than 56 albums. He already have fans from his taiyu singer days and they may still buy his solo albums. He also managed to convert some 56-critics due to his good showing in BWDGX so some people may buy his solo album but not 56 album.

RF ever mentioned that he wish to release a rock album. Perhaps he should be given a chance to release a solo album as well. Unfortunately, RF did not go through enough rounds in BWDGX so viewers did not talk as much about his singing as compared to XZ. Perhaps RF should go to BWDGX again and win more viewers over.

Thanks for the updates, exadel. Yeah- the guy in the orange is Qian Xiao Hao. I used to like to watch him act in wuxia series as well. I think he should be in his forties now.

Anyways, Xiezhi looks cute as usual. Looks like he got his hair trimmed but kept the bangs long. Kind of like how his hair was in Full Count.

So 5A release depends on Warner? Well I really hope that they do release it soon. But I agree that if Xiezhi were to release a solo/ taiyu album, it would probably sell well. I am glad that he now has fans outside of 5566 fans who can appreciate his singing and acting talents. That said, I still love 5566 and hope that they will continue their contract, but perhaps give Xiezhi and Renfu flexibility to release solo albums.

I've realized that I've not mentioned anything about 5A myself. I agree with trinie too that they should do friendship songs, but in general probably more 'encouragement' songs. After all, they've gotten popular by persisting against the tide. So they of all people are the most suitable for the 'li zhi' type of songs. (on the side, with the problems of the economy, loss of jobs & stockmarket etc recently, these type of songs would be more suitable for the market) The china market also like this type of meaningful songs.

The songs don't have to too obvious. Some of their previous 'love songs' could also be taken to be encouragement songs. Like shou hou, chun zai.

Seems like 56 contract with Warner didn't get them anywhere. There was a lot of hype when they joined the Warner stable but after some time, it looks like the company is not willing to invest in their advancement. Avex may be the smaller company but I think 56 had better privileges than their current label.

I agree with you- they only had 4 MVs with Bravo. But hopefully Warner will realize that they still have a lot of fans-especially in China and release a new album for them this year.

Not only warner only suit 4 MVs for 56. Compared their 3rd and 4th album with their previous albums, it has a grate differents. And i seriously thinks their earlier albums is much worth listen.

No point trying to revive their 'favor'. When the present contract expires, it may be better to start afresh with another label who will appreciate them more and show their support in more tangible ways eg enhancing their talents, promoting them etc

Yup- it does seem that Warner has not done much to promote 5566. I mean they are great singers and entertainers so they really should be promoted more. But I am glad that Xiezhi has been getting more attention recently.

However, wonder what happened after that especially after 56 last concert. Was it Jungiery's idea to put 56 aside in order to promote 183 club? If so, they probably thought that 56 already have a large fan-base but they forgot that fans are fickle when their idols have no products to show. Or did 56 suffer from burnout and requested more rest? Whatever the reason, the outcome is that 56 is not as popular as before so Warner probably decide not to concentrate too much on them.

Since the lady director was so impressed by Xiezhi, let's hope she doesn't cut out too much from the actual show. Anyway, the fan who posted the earlier clips in baidu did say that she will put up more complete clips after the programme is shown on TV.

These 2 guys have such good chemistry, nice listening to them talking to each other. Btw, Xiao Tian Tian is on the show again and this time she gets to "molest" Shaowei. Haha, you can tell that she was shy and nervous when kissing Xiezhi because she was afterall his fan. Whereas she acts natural and bold with Shaowei which is her way to liven up the show.

I feel 56 lost some credibility due to their tendency to lip sync their fast dance numbers. A lot of my friends in the music industry don't rate them too highly because of this. The last concert in Taipei suffered from lack of preparation & rest ( unless you're relying a lot on miming and pre recorded tracks). As artistes, they should justify the price of the ticket with as much 'live' singing as possible. Could also be the reason why their concerts have not been popular with promoters. If I remember correctly, none of their concerts ( even at the height of their popularity ) have reached 'tour'
status.
Also, I notice that they have never received songs by well known song writers like LeeHom, JJ , Jay Chou, Gary Chao Ge etc. Wonder why ?

Jules, i think jungiery wants to promote their own artistes who can compose like VJ, toro etc and so they uses their lyrics and malady in 56, 7F 183's albums and as well as the soundtracks. And also they also want to cut cost??? Well this is what i think.

Bonniec1, ya agree with what you said. No point to continue their contrack with warner. They desorves a better record label to help them gain back their lost fans provided they will continue their contrack with jungiery.

I remember one of the reporters in one of the WQYL weekend episodes said that big companies tend to side those artistes who help them gain earnings and fame for their company whereas small companies tend to spend more time and efford to produce nice albums for their artistes.

Ya warner did put alot of efford and money to promote 56's 3rd album and its because during that time 5566 is one of the most popular boyband in asia. As FLH and some other boybands came out, those fans who support 56 will turn and like FLH or the others.

Glad to see xiezhi in more programs and i can't wait to see him in the game show
