Hmm- don't see any news about the other shows yet, but I had that impression when I read Xiezhi's blog on the 13th about 5566 appearing in the SETTV show...
Xiezhi updated his blog again on the 16th and wrote a long and thoughtful reflection about the typhoon. I was really touched and liked his thoughts so here is a rough translation thanks to MDGB translator (and some editing):
My heartfelt thanks to all the help of friends at home and abroad! It doesn't matter if you only donated $100, the thought itself is precious! I think that all of people affected by the disaster will be able to feel your caring thoughts. I really feel sorry that the disaster came so suddenly- there was no way to prepare for it . No one can predict such an act of nature. But it has already been brought upon us. What can we do? Jet Li put it very well: This is not a time for blame when we have to brave! There may not be a home, but what is important is that you are safe. If people are safe, we can all survive this together. The past few days, watching the news, I thought of the time several years ago when I was filming and went to a disaster stricken area. I asked myself what can I do for these victims? In the end...it is like I can't really help with anything... Can only help in the distance, silently praying, or asking for donations. We as humans are so insignificant in the face of natural disaster!
In life there will be many setbacks and unexpected circumstances... There are problems with work, relationships, family, unforeseen natural disasters... and so on! We must think of ways of overcoming them one by one! This is where the value of life is! One must go through difficulties of life in order to live properly. By helping others can one experience contentment and understand the importance of life! So... I will often tell you that no matter what you may face in life, you should face it with an attitude of thankfulness. We should thank obstacles and unexpected disasters in life to make us realize where the problems are and how to improve! Our belief and strength to continue living on will increase. Let everybody learn to criticize less, gossip less, let everyone learn to live more in harmony . Won't this make everything better? By seeing the lives of others fade away, we learn how to cherish our own lives- This is human nature! Hope that from now on all people, including victims of the typhoon will not wallow in sadness but be courageous and face reality and rebuild everything. This is not a time to complain or dispute about small matters, but to be content with your situation and grow from this experience. Please do not let those who died, die for nothing- from this, we can create a better home! Thank you
