Happy to hear that Xi Ji (Westside Story) will be made into a tv cartoon. Really hope that they will ask 5566 to provide the voices!

Anyways, here is the link to Xiezhi's tv movie. I haven't watched it yet- but will do so when I get home from work.

pat/clare, I've checked tudou and they don't have the movie yet. By the way, I guess some of you already know that Xiezhi has set up a new blog in pixnet. The link is on his old blog.

I hope no one minds, but I posted a link to this forum since his new blog is posting links to baidu bar, etc., so hopefully he will consider adding english forums to the links.

Yes, it is so nice and considerate of Xiezhi to start a new blog so that both his China and Taiwan fans can read & post messages on his blog. Of course that does not mean that he doesn't care about his other fans, just that thankfully we do not have such (political) problems over here. He did say that he wants his blog to be meeting place for all his fans from every country so no one is left out.

The title of his latest blog article is "his apology to his fans" because he can't cater to everyone's requests. Like what most of his fans said, it is the thought that counts and we know that Xiezhi has already tried his best to make his blog convenient to everyone. So, hope he doesn't worry too much over such stuff. Btw, wonder why he doesn't use full stops and commas in his writings.

Btw, I am glad that he decides not to move his blog to another host again because I like the pixnet blog. The colour scheme and presentation are very pleasant and he at least starts writing new articles rather than simply edit on his one and only article. Perhaps he has plenty of time recently to work on his new blog because the concert in Beijing is postponed.

Bonniec - it is ok to give him the link to this site ... guess now I will have to be more careful when I express my opinions or make speculations on his personal life or that of his other Jstar colleagues Certainly don't want any of them to feel hurt by my ramblings here.

Well- I think we express our views rather conservatively here anyways, so there shouldn't be any need to worry.. I like the new blog too, it is easy to navigate and it is great that so many fans from different countries can access it.

Oh yeah- Good news- it looks like our page here has been added to his blog links!

(edit) stupid me- I just realized the page link I gave was this page, not the first one!

yep yep me too need to stop with the gossiping already.

anyway had not watched the movie yet as the streaming is too slow. I'm not too good with this type of dramas as i then to fast forward them a lot. but definitely looking forward to the liaozhai 3.

Well I finally did watch the tv movie and thought it was ok. The storyline was simple, but the actors did a good job and of course Xiezhi played his role very well. It was also nicely filmed, with a lot of scenery. I quite liked the father's house- that was very tranquil and picturesque. It was also pretty realistic. Anyways, wonder if they will air it on a commercial channel?

Just checked Xiezhi's new blog- looks like he's added a chat room for his fans. I would like to participate but it takes me forever to type in Chinese since I just copy and paste- hehe.

By the way- does anyone know why 5566's Beijing concert has been moved to next year? http://tieba.baidu.com/f?kz=665602033

I confess that I am the type who goes for shows with lots of action, dramatic plots and preferably with cliffhangers at the end of each episode so that I am enticed to continue watching the show. I don't usually watch educational or feel good shows because I like to watch something dramatic or very different from our real world hence my preferance for wuxia or period dramas

That is why I have yet to watch his TV movie but I did catch glimpses of him in the show. Must say that ZQMTX has helped raised his acting standard because Xiezhi is now rather natural in emotional or crying scenes. Haven't seen all his parts in this movie but I particularly liked his expressions in that hospital scene with his father.

Yes, he seems to be playing with his new blog recently. He had also added some baseball pictures in his photo album.

I think the reason for postponing the concert is due to the heavy snow in Beijing. Read from the news that traffic is affected. Btw, this is an outdoor concert so the organiser postponed it because the weather is too cold.

A concern is whether 5566 will still be invited to the April concert since the organiser said that the guest list may change. Guess it also depend on whether all 5566 members renew their contract with Jungiery.

Yeah- my favorite is wuxia or fantasy too- but I do watch some realistic dramas - depending on the plot and actors.

It really looks like Xiezhi is having fun exploring the functions of his new blog!

Oh- so the reason for the rescheduling is the weather- I had no idea it was an outdoor concert. But is it snowing in the other city as well? Anyways, I hope they will attend the April one.

About the contract renewal, I guess we will find out very soon. I'm not really surprised about Qiaoen's departure though.

I'm a little slow with this news, but looks like the show that Xiezhi recorded in China in October (谁敢来唱歌)will be broadcasted this weekend. Here is the commercial: http://tieba.baidu.com/f?kz=668319834

Also, it looks like the Chengdu concert will be on schedule. Xiezhi confirmed it on his blog today.

    Xiezhi's blog: http://fanstalk.pixnet.net/blog

5566 arrived at Chengdu in the wee hours of this morning because their flight was delayed by about 3 hours. Here are a few pictures in Shaowei's baidu page: http://tieba.baidu.com/f?z=671195683...%D9%CE%B0&pn=0. Since the pictures are taken by Shaowei's fans, there aren't many photos of the other guys. But can see that Xiezhi's hair has grown longer.

The 谁敢来唱歌 show is really weird. There isn't any proper theme and it looks like they just throw random items together to add up to an one-hour show.

Thanks for the update, exadel! I haven't watched the game show yet, but heard it is so-so. Yeah- they do look tired and a bit tense in the pictures. Wow- it looks like Shaowei and Mengzhe have lost a lot of weight from the pics.

Ya, both Shaowei and Mengzhe look trimmer in those pictures so much so that I was wondering if this is an old baidu post. It doesn't help that Xiezhi always wear the same coat whenever he travels during cold weather so you just can't tell when the photo was taken. I had to check & re-check the dates on the messages to confirm that these are yesterday's pictures taken of them at the TW airport.

The China fans who received them in China said that they are in good spirits when they arrived shortly after midnight. Maybe they had a good rest on board. Hope they have a successful performance tonight.

Thanks for the clips, exadel! It's been such a long time since 5566 performed together. So happy to see them! Looks like there was a great turnout as well. I wonder if any fans were able to get a full clip of their entire performance? I should check baidu.

Yeah- I really do think that is Xiezhi's favorite grey jacket- Looks like he is wearing a new hat too.
