Guess it just confirms that they parted ways not because they no longer love each other but due to other factors (most likely his mother) that they can't resolve. I think it is difficult for them to be truly happy in a relationship with the kind of pressure that his mother is giving them. Haha, I was smiling when XiaoS began "beating his mother" in the show. It just shows that even XiaoS thinks that his mom is rather unreasonable.

Thanks for the pics and news, exadel! Yeah- I saw the news about the new series too- don't know what to believe anymore. I still haven't caught that episode of KangXi yet, but it is odd that they are still bringing up that topic since they broke up quite some time ago.

Happy New Year everyone.

There is no news about Jungiery today but have read a recent post in Shaowei's baidu forum which says that Shaowei had told his fans at his Uncle Sam bakery party that he did not renew his contract. He said he wanted a break to concentrate on his bread business and will return to showbiz afterthat. But he will still be involved if someone gets 5566 to perform together. He also mention that the 183 guys' contracts are with different companies.

Btw, both Renfu & Xiezhi were in their usual high-mood at the local cooking show except that Xiezhi was rather quiet during the actual cooking segment because Renfu is the "professional" chef and did most of the talking. Haha, Xiezhi was just helping to prepare the ingredients like an obedient assistant. And I was surprised that they both cleaned up and tidied the place when they finished cooking ahead of time. It was so nice of them to do this.

Oh, also read from Xiezhi Tongxin club that he will be going on BWDGX on 26 Jan 2010 Yeah, I love to watch him on BWDGX because you can see that he really enjoys being on the show and bantering with Harlem. Since recording is in late Jan 2010, hope his is the LNY episode.

I watched the show too. I was actually quite impressed by the gals team.

Had a craving for the xian su ji after watching. Wonder if it affected the other viewers. My mum told me that the shop selling that dish near my place was packed the next day when she tried to get it for me . Everybody was ordering the same item.

Ya!!! Hotasuki, I even ask my mother to learn and make it for me!!! LOL

I love their team sperit. No matter what event, shows they attend, they will always brighten up the atmosphere. No matter is the whole group or individual.

I wonder when will channel 8 air their individual episodes.

Glad that XZ is going to BWDGX again!!! Miss his performance there.

Agree that the gals team was impressive and deserved to win. The girls really know their stuff and look like expert cooks. Was disappointed that Mediacorp is not showing their individual episodes yet.

Hope Xiezhi will really go on BWDGX again... Xiezhi just updated his blog to summarise what he had done in year 2009 and he also mention that he has yet to receive the invitation for BWDGX. Anyway, I don't think the fan would post the news on Tongxin when she is not sure of its accuracy. Should know for sure soon as BWDGX will usually post the list of stars on their website and invite the public to participate in the recording.

Could I ask a favor for anyone to remind me if there is a repeat telecast of the recent MediaCorp cooking show with XZ & RF ? I was so bogged down by work that I missed the episode despite reminding myself every time the trailer appears. Thanks in advance

Happy New Year to all! I am really happy that Xiezhi will appear on BWDGX again, though he hasn't received the official invitation yet. I hope it is the Lunar New Year special too. The one last year where they invited 5566 was really one of the best episodes.

Anyways, I am still waiting for the cooking show to be uploaded onto Baidu or Tudou so that I can finally watch it (sighs).

I didn't check the TV schedule but unlike cable TV, our Mediacorp channels normally do not repeat their shows so soon. Anyway, the clips are now available at baidu: http://tieba.baidu.com/f?kz=691196110. It is an hour-long show, with commercial breaks so should have about 3 or 4 parts (so far only Part A is loaded as I am typing this).

Finally got around to watching it- Xiezhi and Renfu were so cute! Their dishes turned out pretty good too. I see that they made the spicy fried chicken nuggets- which is one of my favorites. I haven't tried this with basil before, but I always order it if I'm eating Taiwanese food. Hope the other episodes air soon!

Recently it seems to be extremely quiet regarding news about 5566 or Xiezhi for that matter. It was so nice of Xiezhi to update his blog on the 1st and summarize what he did last year, but of course as fans, we are always hoping to see him take on more projects. Hope that the BWDGX invite is official and that we can get an update soon.

Singapore Mediacorp is showing Renfu's episode of the local cooking show next Wed, 20 Jan 2010. He is pitted against Florence Tan ... thought she has left Mediacorp after marrying her Taiwanese husband. Hope they show Xiezhi's episode the week after.

Thanks for the news, exadel. I'll try to catch Renfu's episode once it's uploaded. He really does seem to know his way around the kitchen. I was a little surprised that he did most of the talking in the episode that they did together. Renfu does usually talk more, but maybe not that much more. Xiezhi really seemed quiet- maybe he was concentrating on getting the ingredients ready?

Anyways, hope that Xiezhi's solo episode is out soon as well!

Great, he confirmed the 26 Jan BWDGX recording ... I am still hoping that it is for the CNY episode. He will also be going to China on 20 & 21 Jan to record "周日我最大".

Thanks- that is great news! Love watching Xiezhi on BWDGX. Wonder if he has any surprises for us this time? Still amazed by his rendition of the Jam Hsiao song. That was one great episode! (But then again- I think every episode of BWDGX he has been on is great) It would be cool to hear him sing another Cantonese song!
