The best way to answer this would be to get understanding of the psycho-emotional make-up of Mei Fanggu, and her relationships with a woman known only as Mei-nüxia, Ding Busan, Shi Qing and Min Rou. Then, you'll start to get an idea as to why the separation happen.

CFT: thanks, but that doesn't explain [I]why[I] his "mother" separated from him. They lived in the mountains for many years, but one time she did not come back for several days, and when he went to look for her, he got lost, and that's how he ended up meeting Xie Yanke. But the question is why she left him.
