Yes. I've seen it. It's quite long and well, my rating for it would be 3/5. Has some exaggerated humor, romance, some drama, and etc. It's okay. I wouldn't buy it though, rent yes, keep in my collection to rewatch, no.

Ha I crushed on Zhao Wen Zhuo from this series when I was like 14 years old =P It was way too draggy and butchered Chinese history though. The Spcnet review that someone did of it made me laugh so hard because it's so true. I wouldn't even rent it--I got to watch it free on TV, and when I went back to China, my parents taped it for me lol.

Overall, I wouldn't suggest it at all. 2/5 There's better things to watch.

It must at least be better than the Cynthia Khan version.

At least that kept it a a decent length, this dragged on and lost what was charming about it and there were too many sidecharacter time. Gah. Yes, it was draggy, they just didn't do any editing for time and cut out unnecessary scenes or portions of the series.

I loaned my copy of Cynthia's version to a Chinese friend and her 9 year old son loved it so much that I gave it to him.
