Default Yang Guo DID meet Guo Xiang one more time?

Was reading fox's translation, and came upon this:

"Guo Daxia’s wife was Huang Rong, Huang Nuxia; she was known as the most intelligent and quick-witted person. She had realized early on that the Yuan army’s power was unstoppable; that in the end Xiangyang could not be defended. They, husband and wife, had made up their minds to sacrifice their lives for their country as a token of their patriotism and loyalty. But would they bring Guo Daxia’s special skills down to the grave? Moreover, she had predicted correctly that although the Mongolians would occupy China for a moment, in the end the Han people would not be willing to live in slavery under the Tartars’ rule; that there would be bloody battles on the Central Plains [‘zhong yuan’] in the future. At that time the military strategy and the martial art would play a very significant role. For that reason she hired a very skilled craftsman to melt the black steel sword Yang Guo, Yang Daxia gave to our founder Guo Zushi [martial art ancestor], mixed it with refined gold from the western area, and forged it into the Tulong [slaughtering dragon] Saber and the Yitian [relying on Heaven] Sword.”
We have always spoke of Yang Guo giving the sword to Guo Jing and Huang Rong, but here, it states clearly that the one he gave the sword to was Guo Xiang, the founder of E'mei. "Guo Zushi" can only refer to Guo Xiang, not Guo Jing.

    So they DID meet again!

Well, Yang Daxia might have given the sword to Guo Zushi indirectly, e.g. through another person, i.e. Guo Jing.

Perhaps, although that would contradict what Jin Yong had already explicitly said about Gwok Seung having never seen Yeung Gor again after Mt. Hua at the end of ROCH.

It is possible that the Heavy Iron Sword was given to Gwok Seung sometime between her rescue at Seung Yeung and the closing scene at Mt. Hua. Does anything in the ROCH text say for certain that Yeung Gor was still carrying the Heavy Iron Sword during the closing scene at Mt. Hua?

Also, it's possible that Yeung Gor had the Heavy Iron Sword delivered to Gwok Seung through intermediaries, much like he delivered most of his gifts to her on her sixteenth birthday through intermediaries. Possibly, a girl dressed in yellow robes with a retinue of dancers and musicians delivered the Heavy Iron Sword to Gwok Seung.

IMO it's highly likely that Yang Guo gave the sword to Guo Xiang at the end of ROCH when they parted, but it wasn't mentioned in the last chapters of ROCH v2. Not sure about v3.

This means YG gave the sword directly/indirectly to GX before the fall of XY. The question is when exactly did this happen?

It is unlikely that YG gave the sword to GX- later on, in the translation, it was mentioned that HR forged the saber and the sword.

Thus, it may be more likely that YG gave the swords to GJ.

Readers of the 3rd ed. would be better to clarify this.

actually miejie might have been mistaken here because yang guo abandoned his heavy sword in the hall at loveless valley when zhu zili said the indian monk was killed. he thought there was no hope for XLN and him so he stopped fighting. qiu qianchi set fire to the manor after and the sword was inside through it wouldn't be damaged by the fire. YG did not retrive the sword when he left to return to the empty valley. his two sworn sisters cheng ying and lu wushang stayed at the valley a bit longer then him. they might have retrived the sword as a keepsake till they met him again and handed it over to guo jing and huang rong. yang guo had moved on to his wood sword training and did not use the heavy sword again.
