Alternate Endings

Does anyone else here wish to change a certain outcome of a book or perhaps change a character pairing?

For HSDS I really wished Zhang Wuji would end up with Zhou Zhiruo, although I cann't really imagine how that perticular ending would go.

LoCH I was happy with, but I wished to give Sha Gua her sanity, to see what she'd be like.

Anyone have something they wish they could change? And if you could change something, how do you think the book would be like? Let's just explore more alternate realities here.

Sha Gua would not be Sha Gua anymore if she got back her sanity. She would not have invoked the pity of East Heretic and got a chance to follow him around to witness the murder of Kwok Jing's sifus. It is her insanity that plays a pivotal role in how Yeung Gor sees his Auntie Huang Yong in ROCH.

YG will end up single in that alternate storyline of mine. And of course GX will get to fall in love, and marry someone most suitable for her.

Lu Wushuang and Cheng Ying will also get over Yang Guo and have a happy married life too.

It would really be fun if XLN falls in love with ZBT and then they dominate the wulin with their 8 arm goddess combination.

And obviously being the unorthodox pair, they will be hunted by everyone including GJ etc.

YG being dark and moody will marry GF to learn all of GJ's martial arts, and then he discover's DY's suck energy ball martial arts and then he will suck GJ dry and become the supreme ruler of the wulin.

For goodness' sakes: ROCH should have ended with a Third and Final Mt. Hua Sword Tournament (and I don't mean those jokers who were beating the crap out of each other up there either). All five living Greats were present, they were at the traditional site of the previous tournaments, and there was even a future Great (Cheung Gwun Bo) present. They should have settled the # 1 title once and for all. I can't believe they passed on it.

to difficult for JY to choose who to be number one between YG and GJ but since YG is the main hero in ROCH he should be no. 1.

Zhang Wuji takes the WongChongyeung (single for greater cause) route (or becomes the new heir to Wudang), stays with Ming cult, and forsakes both Zhao Ziruo and Zhao Min.

Floral princess Yaoyu actually duels with Yan Nan Tian.

Lin Pingzhi dies and Lingshan comes running back to Linghu Chong and he gets to officially reject her.

Lu Wushuang and Cheng Ying still can't get over YG so they jointly adopt a kid who Yellow Lady (in HSDS) falls deeply in love with spawning a 4th novel in the Condor series.

For DGSD, Duan Yu, Wang Yuyan, Murong Fu and Jiumozhi should have died in the well. Wuyazi should also have died falling down. Xuzhu wouldn't have been great. Zhong Lin and Mu Wanqing are devastated by Duan Yu's death. They plead Xiao Feng to help avenge, but he refuses. Frustrated, they poison Xiao Feng to death. They then commit suicide. Next Mainland is crushed. History is altered forever, and none of the later 12 Jin Yong novels would exist.

This is probably what Wong Jing feels like when he rewrites all the stories...hehehehe

In LOCH - GJ stays on as Golden Blade Prince (marries Wah Jin) and takes HR as concubine. Its Mongolia - people have harems. HR becomes queen without even needing to lift a finger by having Wah Jin assasinated. GJ and HR become khans. Mongolia takes over China 40 years earlier than expected.

In ROCH - YG has relatively peaceful childhood since war ended early. He still manages to meet XLN because granny died of natural causes and she never learned how to cook so needed to find food. YG is first boy she meets. Guo Fu turns out to be boy - heir to the throne - but his destructive ways leads to the downfall of the empire.

I just really wanted Cheng Ying to get over Yang Guo and perhaps meet someone who was better suited for her. She was one of my favourite characters and I desperately wanted her to have the happiest ending possible.

Same went for Zhou Zhiruo, she really did deserve a happier ending (in my eyes).

Hmm... I don't know who I would have wanted to win. I never liked Yang Guo very much, so I'm thinking I'd have him at the very least place 2nd. I guess If I had to I'd probably have Guo Jing win.

For ROCH, the rape incident shouldn't happen. YG got seriously injured by over practicing martial art in the cave while only XLN is by his side. The only way to save his life is to make love with a girl and of course XLN would do it to save his life.... YG is not an orphan, his mother still alive. To make thing more complicated, YG has obligation to marry GF since it is a promise of YG mother and GJ. GF with the same personality is madly in love with him and with pressure from both his mother and GJ, he has no choice but to marry GF. The love triangle between them is just started...

Wai Siu Bo shouldn't considered a hero but a rapist and villian. He should die miserably instead of living happily.

Du Gu Qui Bai's wife should live happily with him forever instead of die miserably... Just in the series not novel...

In Sword Stained with Royal Blood, the main character should love and end up happily with Ching Ching instead of the princess.
