Best TVB Theme Songs

The first song that came into my mind when I read this topic was the one sung by Cass Phang (if I'm not mistaken) in Dark Tales, the one with Gallen Lo (the only actor I could recall as of now) in it. Although it has been so many years since watching that series, the song still remained in me. It is truly a beautiful song, probably influenced by its opening preview, thus making the song sounds eeriely haunting as well.

Best themesong?

There are too many to list, but if I was forced to pick just one, it would be:

1. Legend of the Condor Heroes 1983. (the song from the first 1/3 of the series). Boy did that song set the tone for the entire series.


Others that are great:

The sub-theme song for Looking Back in Anger (by Wong Kit). That song was very popular back then.

Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils 1982 (the first half of the series)

And a personal favorite, though not as well-known as the above three: Blood of Good and Evil (by Anita Mui and Andy Hui). It has a really nice rhythm and fits the story very well.

There are lots of great theme songs in the 80s, also because the music industry was flourishing then, lots of great songwriters and singers, I mean truly great singers, not the crappy wannabe singers we now see all over the Chinese music market.

For contemporary though, Plain Love II still has the best theme song compared to almost all TVB series in the 90s and counting. Jacky Cheung and Priscilla Chan sang the song. I think this theme song, "Chip Gun," won several theme song awards both in HK and overseas.

Plain Love II, definitely. Simple yet beautiful -- just like the actual series itself. Recently most of the theme songs have been pretty *ugh* but I quite like Lady Fan's theme song and Awakening Story's.

Oldies, hmmmm definitely Legend of the Condor Heroes sung by the great Roman Tam and Jenny Yan.

If anyone has the MV of Plain Love II's theme please tell me where I can get it!!
