Who do you really hate in wuxia?

Right now it's ROCH I'm reading, so...
So far I haven't encountered any character I'd downright *hate*...
Maybe Yang Guo before he grows up. Well, I'm no great fan of YG (though I may yet become one, haven't finished the book yet - and so far, he ain't half as annoying as the HXM version in ROCH 06)... But even if I do not really admire him, I can't say I hate him - except those first chapters when he's still little. I really really detest that child...:-)
I have a strong dislike for Guo Fu as well.
I may feel something like hate towards Zhao Zhijing - were it not for his having to deal with little Yang Guo. I can't help feeling sympathetic ever since then...;-) (I mean - imagine you'd have to teach the brat...;-))
But that's all just dislikes...
Nope. No such feelings as hate... Not yet.

There are actually some fairly unpopular characters I am deeply fond of...;-)

Now - Gu Long...
There were times when I really hated Lin Xian'er...
And I definitely kind of hated Shangguan Jinhong - though of course he was that kind of villain that commands respect...

SPCnet has influenced me to dislike YG quite a bit. i'm pretty annoyed with XLN's emotionless character as well. I can't say I really hate the main cast of ROCH but I just wished for them to be more like Guo Jing and Huang Rong =) I absolutely love Huang Rong. After re-watching XAJH, I'm starting my love for RYY again. Oh, not a fan of LHC at all. His love for his xiao shi mei annoys me. Geez, stupid men bother me a lot!

1. Cheng Kun - no need to explain, everyone hate this bastard. 2. Lin Chaoying - this freakish spinster ruined the fame of the 5 original Greats. 3. Mie Jue - man hater. 4. The yellow-dressed chick - Zhang Wuji's martial arts and Wei Yixiao's lightness kungfu were dishonoured by this bs chick. 5. Yuan Chengzhi - princess Changping becoming a nun was all because this dude broke his promise to return to China and stood her up. 6. Dugu 'I with the Yitian sword will definitely lose to the swordless myself' Qiubai.

Shi Zhongyu and Ding Dang, although if Shi Potian wasn't so naive they wouldn't have gotten away with it for so long, but when Ding Dang murdered Shi Jian I really really wanted her to die. Shi Jian was one of the nicest people around, and was just starting to like and respect Shi Potian after weeks of distrust.

I don't think there are any characters I hate in the wuxia I've read/watched. But there are a few I'd like to kick in a tender spot while wearing a steel-toed boot.

Zhao Zhibing. What a jerk. Only out for himself. I kind of want to kick his masters, too, for not realizing what a duplicitious, power-hungry lying bastard he is.

Zuo Lengchan. Just a thorough all-around villain, manipulating everybody to fuel his desire to become a king.

Yue Buqun. Hypocritical liar. How did Ning Zhongze get stuck with him?

Yue Buqun is an utter hypocrite, and I would've disliked him more I didn't realize he's also a plot device.

I dislike Jin Yong's tendency to create gentle, kind-hearted female characters who are willing to make sacrifices for the hero (Keshili, Yilin, Xiao Zhao, Gongsun Lu'e). Repetitive wish fulfillment FTL.

Lin Chaoying and Granny Sun are no longer in my list. They're replaced by Zhou Zhiruo and Ouyang Feng now.

In order of most hated to least hated.

1) Yang Guo/Huang Yaoshi (I hate these two equally)
2) Xiaolongnu

4) Ouyang Feng
5) Zhou Zhiruo

ROCH i just hate all the characters in that novel, all their personalities and responsibilities all of a sudden changed from LOCH....
