The costume fitting ceremony for new TVB series Beauty High-Resolution <美麗高解像> was held today at TVB City, attended by cast members including Kate Tsui (徐子珊), Sharon Chan (陳敏之), Lai Lok Yi (黎諾懿) and Christine Ng (伍詠薇).

In the series, Kate will be playing the daughter of a retired film star who enters the showbiz industry herself after entering a beauty pageant. Kate revealed that her character will be quite weak-willed and is always being picked on. She smiled that fortunately she did not experience the same when she entered the Miss Hong Kong pageant in 2004. When reporters joked that maybe she was the one doing the bullying, she replied that she did not dare to.

Asked if she would like to win the TVB best actress award, Kate said frankly that she would.

Sharon said that she will be playing the villain in the series and her character is a very rebellious woman who has some scenes where she takes drugs with Stephen Wong (黃長興) character. She said that filming this scene will be very interesting because she will never do this in real life.

As part of her research into the role, Sharon has been watching many films that include drug-taking scenes and she commented that Zhang Jing Chu (張靜初)'s performance in Protege <門徒> was extremely convincing. Asked about rumours that Zhang had really taken drugs to film this scene, Sharon declined to comment and emphasised that she would never do that.

Kate's series Speech Of Silence <甜言蜜語> that is currently airing achieved 30 ratings points for the first show and she was extremely pleased to hear this. She smiled that she had stayed in especially to watch the episode for herself and hoped that the ratings will continue to improve.

watching the series now, first time watching kate tsui acting, not bad......

only 1 actor cannot stand him, wong cho lam 王祖蓝, acting like stephen chow throughout the entire series......

Lai Lo Yi's character surely does not feel like a male leading role in A Beauty of the Game..still feels like a supporting character to me.
