That's not surprising given that a rather high number of Asians (mostly Chinese and Vietnamese) work in the service industry in Vegas.

At least you could take your time ordering. At this one lousy Chinese restaurant I went to, right when we sat down they asked us what we wanted to order. Before we were even given menus. So we told her we have no menu and she comes back in a hustle with some menus and goes to stand next to us saying "So, can you order NOW?" We told her no and she leaves.

Then several minutes later ANOTHER waiter comes and asks us in this hurried tone to order. Argh!

With so many restaurants to choose from around here, I've come to expect both good food and good service. I never really had a lousy waitor experience before but if I did, you can be sure I'm never going back there again.
I would love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code.

this guy i know who used to be a waiter told me he does that. to try to put the order in as quick as possible so he can go back to sitting around and being a lazy bum.

I'm impatient. I'll be walking out if I experience that kind of service. When it comes to dining out, I do not queue up, or tolerate rude service.

I would think food much more so then service. Though i probably cant tolerate really really bad service, an average or mediocre one is fine with me as long as their food is good. In fact, if the service is too good, it usually means im paying a bomb for the bill so i'd rather eat at the hawker centres or bistros with lousy service but cheap and good food. Of course it'll be heaven if the food's wonderful, cheap and the service's good.

U people these days, worry about good services when there are like millions of people starving, looking for any types of food they can gather. Hmmm.. u all should be ashamed. Nah j/k.

Anyways, for meeh i want both exellent service + food. Of course if u go 2 a more prestige restaurant, it tends to have better service. But not always.

In order to ensure long term success in this competitive industry, it’s important to strive for repeat customers, which means making customers satisfy so they will come back for more and also pass along the word of mouth. It’s really not hard to find a restaurant that offers decent food from the hundred and thousand of selections and options out there. What differentiates a good restaurant apart from the competitors is the quality of service since this is an important factor that enhances a customer’s dinning experience. It’s really annoying when a stranger ruins my dining experience with rudeness, disregard, and insincerity; especially, if it happens to be a special occasion or moment. *sighs*

Good food on the other hand...who cares about the service? I'll even get it from the kitchen myself and bus my own table if it's that good.
Same with me, but if there is lousy service. NO TIP!! muhahahah

I would rather choose food over service. I don't really mind if the service was average or mediocre as long as the food quality is good. If the service quality was horrible I would never go back there again but even so I think service quality can vary from time to time.

I went to a seafood restaurant with my sister way down south. When we walked through the door I can see that the restaurant was empty. We waited to be seated and the freakin hostess just walked past us without even acknowledging us. She didn't say hi or greet us. So we seated ourselves and I glanced over at her and she was totally ignoring us (she's white btw), she didn't bother to bring us menus so my sister came over to her to get the menu.

At that time I was so damn pissed I didn't wanna create a scene, so I told my sister Let's just go these people don't wanna wait on us. So we just left.
I was compelled to go back and put her in a chokehold until she tapped out!!

Good food is more important. That's what I'm paying for anyway.

Well, in my case it's racism rather than rudeness.

Good food. I'm used to bad service but they usually hold hand to hand.

I think good food because if service is bad in restaurant but the food is very nice, we still can eat.
but if the food is very bad and service is very well, we can't eat and we lost out because we pay the food
