    Always medium rare and a bottle of red wine. See picture of my $40 steak with no side. Would you pay $60-100 for a steak dinner?

    Has anybody eaten at NY Peter Luger Steakhouse? They claim to have the best steak in the US.

    i most likely wouldn't pay so much, but i've had steak for that much...paid for by work of course.

    I buy beef, marinate the meat and cook it myself. No restaurants required and cheaper yet still wonderfully delicious.

    I like medium rare to medium well.

    Yea I wouldn't pay that much for steak. Good thing my bro is a great cook. We usually buy the premium quality that's like 1nch+ thick and cook it ourselves.

    With wine, usually like it rare to medium rare. With beer usually like it medium rare.

    I like it medium well to well done. But since I ordered well done most of the time, I voted for the latter.

    I wouldn't pay that much either. The most I've paid is $40, and that's with side orders.

    Rare = tasty but unhealthy

    Well done = healthy but plastic taste.

    To get the best of both ends, I recommend Medium, although I personally lean towards Medium Rare.

    In general, I like mine medium. I never eat rare. TOO red for me. I only eat well done when I have to. My mom likes to cook it well done. It is either well done or else eat nothing.

    I have heard about those $100 steaks. My friend says it is worth it, but then again, he suggests having a good paying job to even considering paying that much for steak.

    The steaks eaten by some Japanese require another category: extra rare. They basically heat the meat for about 1 minute and eat it. It's definitely rarer than rare -- and I LOVE the tenderness, although steaks cooked this way are more infection-prone

    I like my steak rare! Nothing is tastier than to bite into the juicy meat and taste fresh blood. I also love sushi and sashimi. I suppose I like a lot of rare things...
