Person(s) arrested: Big man, news reporter Goda
As a child, Inoue Kaoru experienced trauma when his parents were caught up and killed in an act of terror. This resulted in his possession of special powers. One day, at a matchmaking party he is attending, he focuses on the girls and "synchro", his ability to get a variety of information on other people from his full five senses, starts to work, putting a damper on proceedings. At that moment, he receives an urgent call from his section chief, Ogata Soichiro, who orders him to guard the governor, Ogawa Yuko.
At the same time, in the room of an apartment in Tokyo, a big man corresponds with someone through email regarding an assault on the governor.
The location Inoue rushes to is Toyosu cinema complex. As the place swarms with media and the public, Inoue notices a suspicious-looking big man walking using a cane and secretly shadows him. The big man suddenly rushes at him with a knife in his hand. Inoue fights back and captures him but there is no conclusive proof that that man is a terrorist.
The next morning, Inoue and Ogata are summoned to the department chief, Nakao Yoshiharu's office and reprimanded. An SP's job is the use one's body to protect VIPs and not to catch criminals. Ogata, who has been looking for new security methods counters by asking, "Are SPs to remain moving walls forever?" but Nakao deflects it by telling him to ask their superiors.
In the midst of this, Inoue, Sasamoto Eri and other SPs head to the conference room at the city hall as they continue their protection of the governor. Because Inoue, who is focusing and doing "synchro" for security purposes, appears to be in a daze, the secretary of the governor finds him an eyesore and hinderance and orders him to standby in the waiting room. However, no one has any way of finding out the resentment Goda, a news reporter in the conference room, has for the governor.
As the tense protection amid the crowds continues at the venue of a stump, museum, television recording, and other locations, Inoue and the rest return to the city hall's conference room once again. During the conference, the SPs are on standby in the waiting room but Inoue, who has a vague foreboding, defies the secretary and enters the conference room. Then, at that precise moment, Goda points his gun at the governor and shoots. Inoue immediately reacts to protect the governor from the bullet, and subdues Goda as he attempts another shot.
At that moment, the big man who had been arrested days earlier but was released receives an email that reads "Shall we get it under way again?".
