Synopsis:
Yiu Hok Sum is a Senior Inspector attached to the Crime Unit. He has acquired strong skills in mind reading. He is efficient in solving criminal cases and has proven to be one of the most competent officers in his unit. He has the ability to analyse and read minds just by observing the criminal's body language and facial expressions. He is also able to spot disparities between evidence and testimonies.

Despite all of his strengths, Hok Sum does have his flaws. His teammates find it difficult to work with him. Newcomers to his unit, Yip Chin Ting and Ho Lai Yin disagree with the unconventional ways of Hok Sum. As a result, Chin Ting and Lai Yin constantly have arguments and confrontations with Hok Sum. Things take a turn for the worse when Hok Sum learns that his half-sister, Ching Pui Yee is dating Lai Yin behind his back and that Chin Ting has a secret crush on him.

I can't help but to compare this show with The Mentalist, and this show comes up very short.

Bowie doesn't have Jane's charm.

yeah seems pretty much like the metanlist however it's one of the better TVB series recently.

Hi, want to ask. Did Eric Li ever appear in this series. He's supposed to be in case two where he's the husband of Janet Chow's character. I watch this series and didn't see him at all.

Earlier, there were news that TVB copied 'The Mentalist' for this series. But, now, after the series aired, viewers point out that they actually copied 'Lie to Me'.

TVB aren't making anything new coz they are not using resources doing research so they are just copying others.

Still im kinda enjoying this series im especially fond of Aimee she is so cute with her broken cantonese

Bad acting/script besides Bowie. He is the only one that makes the series for me. Can't TVB forgo the snotty rich relatives just for once?

Not so sure that is a good thing for TVB productions though. But the series is starting to grow on me.

I spotted a inconsistent scene goof. When Bowie and his sister went to visit Bosco in the hospital, Bowie was wearing a tan khaki jacket, then when he and his sister left and walked down the hall, he's wearing a black leather jacket.

No, he never appeared in the series. Janet's husband was acted by another long-time supporting actor or small role actor.

This series was a bit refreshing from traditional cop shows. I liked Bowie's use of psychological tactics in various cases.
