Default Looking for a word thread

    Need some help here.

Few days ago, i was looking for a word that describes your feeling that you know that you are going to be dumped in a relationship.

    Is there such a word?

    Thanks,
    Han Solo

P/s: I'll designate this thread as the thread to ask for specific words or phrases in the future.

Im not sure if there is any one word for it. Would prolly require two words or phrase. Closest one words I can think of "premonition", "intuition"
Due to several complaints, I will stop using the terms "Babe" and "Baby" in reference to our female counterpart. They will now be replaced with "B*tch."

premonition is a generic word, i was looking for a specific word describing the scenario that i outlined above.

Anxiety is a feeling that isn't related to the described scenario.

    Maybe there's no such word?

I would venture separation anxiety but you've already stated anxiety doesn't fit.

Just what is the general feeling? Apathetic?

Really, Han, what word are you looking for?

You knew intuitively that you will be dumped by your GF/BF before it happened.

    I don't think there's a specific word for knowing you'd get dumped.

Let's see---Foresaw/foresee, foretell, instinctively knew, had a gut feeling, bad vibe...

besides premonition, try presentiment or inkling. both words mean "A feeling that something is about to happen" instinctively rather than on information.

Thanks everyone, i guess SS hit it on the nail on the scenario.

Everyone is giving me the generic words but as i suspected, no specific word describes the scenario.

For some reason, I get the impression that you still haven't found the word you had in mind. That "guess" is not so certain, its passive.

Perhaps, the word you need is not in the English language?

What's the word that describes a team that is widely regarded the best in their sport and yet haven't won a world cup for 20 years, and losing in the quarterfinals when the betting firms put them at $1.70 to win the most recent world cup.
