It's strange, but I thought Fan Bingbing's dress sense had improved a lot compared to previous years. But she looks ostentatious in the above dress though the dress itself is beautiful

I'm shocked ZZY is on that list since she's definitely the Chinese actress with the best dress sense. It's strange she'd wear such a hideous dress. Anyone knows when she wore that ugly dress?

Zhou Xun looks sweet in that pink gown, but a bit too tight or simple. On the contrary, I actually like her hat which matches her dress

What was she thinking? I think she's just trying to get some media attention with this outfit.

She looks like a drag queen. Too much makeup, too much of everthing.

Ewwww. Trying to get attention maybe? Getting some kind of media attention is better than none at all.

Another drag queen. If you actually look at other pictures of her in this dress, you will see that it was too tight on her, and revealed unwanted and unflattering flesh.

It's an OK dress for a pictorial but I don't think people can handle that dress in public.

6. Zhou Xun
She usually has a really odd fashion sense, but I don't think she belongs to this list at all. I have seen worst this year.

7. Zhao Wei
Same with Zhou Xun. I really don't think she belongs on this list. Her dress was gorgeous. Maybe it's the hair adornment, but certainly not the dress.

8. Anita Yuan
As you can see she didn't lose all of her pregnancy weight yet and so a high waist-band was not a good idea.

9. Jolin Tsai
Interesting, but we live on planet earth. However, she is a pop-star and from Taiwan, so I'm not surprised.

10. Angela Zhang
It would look OK for a pictorial or magazine shot but not in public. She's too small for this dress.

Some fashion that looks good on the runway on willowy models, may not look as good on the stars, and not with the over the top make up and hair

Fan Bing Bing is usually okay, not too bad. She just likes to try different things. Vicki on the other hand *pukes*...really needs to get a better fashion sense. Zhou Xun's bf is a fashion designer...but her dress isn't THAT bad. She kinda likes to experiment around too.

And that's one of the nicest dresses Vicki has wore given her previous attempts.

In my humble opinion, it's 90 to 10, maybe, the stars 90% and the designers 10%. It's mostly the decision of the stars and partially the presentation of the designers. The stars do not have to wear them. There are lots of tasteful designs in Asian fashion without being too common. We have to admit lotsa non-Asian fashion are gaudy, too. I like fashion with just a touch of subtlety, not too much fanfare.

Well for some of them...they get paid to wear it. I mean, if I was being paid half a million to wear somethign ugly, I wouldn't care that much either lol. I'll use the money to buy better clothes =P
