Need last minute help! GPS

I'm currently looking at GPS as a christmas present (I've got less than a day left). And I have no idea what's good, I'm just looking at one that does what it says (nothing too fancy) and the Tom Tom looks good, as opposed to Navman.

Does anyone know anything about GPS?

This is probably too late (sorry!) but if you're still looking, gpsreview.net has some great info.

I bought a TomTom ONE XL-S for someone. It's an entry level auto gps, but has some of the slightly more advanced features (e.g text-to-speech, multiple destination, POIs). Comparable price Garmin gps units usually don't have those features.

If you're still looking and need more info, I can try and give u a bit more, tho I'm definitely not tech savvy.

Thanks! I ended up getting a tom tom. The store guy said it was a better option as the updates would be cheaper compared to navman. And it wasn't too expensive.
