SPCNET Idol 2
After a rather memorable singing competition in May this year, where we discovered the tasty goodness of cheesecake, SPCNET Idol is back for the second season.
I would like to thank spcnet for kindly donating $20 to the winner of SPCNET Idol and for being so supportive of this competition. Despite his plea to remain anonymous, I am sure you will all recognise that netdriftr is again helping me host this competition, just like the days of Actress Battle Royale, only with less bit-… I mean, conflict.
Everyone who entered deserves a round of applause. The entries are amazing!
I am sure most of the contestants would appreciate constructive criticism, but please also recognise that we are mostly amateurs here and for a lot of people, it is their first time recording or mixing. Everyone really entered for fun- and some of them only did so to support me (cough blackmail) - so keep that in mind when you comment on the entries.
The following CRITERIA will be applied for voters:

Background Music Division 3
BGM3NO1 - Iris -male
It's called Iris and it was originally performed by the Goo Goo Dolls. I picked this song because I've always liked the lyrics. My reason for entering is purely a business transaction. So I'm already a winner =)
BGM3NO2 - Not Me Not I
I have always loved Delta Goodrem’s music and the song ‘Not Me, Not I’ is one of my favourite songs from her first album. Obviously, I cannot compare my rendition with the original, but I hope you enjoy listening to it anyway.
BGM3NO3 - When the grapes ripen
I chose this song primarily because I'm a fan of Eason and I really like this song. The lyrics, too, were a tad bit meaningful, so I thought I'd just go with this and voila! Here's an entry. I present to you this song, and I hope I didn't butcher it in any way.
BGM3NO4 - Iris -female
Recorded on a frigid, chilly December afternoon after some delectable cheesecake (no I am not Sugar, and my singing definitely shows that) and hot chocolate, this is my attempt at the Goo Goo Dolls' number-one single "Iris." Originally sung and written by Johnny Rzeznik for the movie City of Angels, I first heard this song while "borrowing" my friend's iPod; since then, I've been absolutely in love with it (and how could you not love a song with the lyrics "you're the closest to heaven I'll ever be"?), so excuse my sub-par girlish rendition of it.
BGM3NO5 - Trai Tim Binh Yen
Ok, there is really not a whole lot to say about this, but this is probably one of my favourite songs. It’s not a new years, not a happy, not a Christmas song. It’s a little more related to the gloomy winter…
