WXB is probably the most significant man in JY's books in term of status. He has reached a fairly high rank in the Government (btw has he reached 1st Rank before he got figured out by Kangxi?), he was a prominent role in Heaven and Earth Sect as Chen Jinnan's disciple, and he was also a ranked figure in Divine Dragon Sect. XB can probably kill any man by using his power in these 3 organizations Can anyone in JY's books compare to him?

If ZWJ hadn't let Zhu Yuanzhang have his way, maybe the Ming dynasty would be headed by the ZHANG royal family instead of Zhu.

Other than ZWJ, though, I can't think of anybody who brushed power so closely. You could argue that Xu Zhu and Duan Yu had high ranks, but Xixia/Dali weren't as geopolitically significant as China (there, the political-correctness police can't get me) so their power was somewhat limited.

Xiao Feng - he was one of the highest ranking members of the Liao government, which was considered MORE POWERFUL than the Song military. Plus, he has the support of pretty much the ENTIRE Mainland wulin, PLUS he even has the Jurchen tribesmen' back. And lest not forget, Sweeper Monk was a GREAT admirer. And last but not least, he even has Western Xia + Dali Kingdom behind him.

I think Liao military + Jurchen tribesmen + Mainland wulin + Dali Kingdom + Western Xia Kingdom + Sweeper Monk > Wei Xiaobao's backing.

In addition, WXB is the apprentice brother to the Shaolin Abbot, apprentice to the leader of Heavenly Earth Society, brother in law to the Mu family, sub-leader to the Heaven Dragon Cult.
