Default DGSD Elites in terms of their Shaolin kung fu mastery

One unique thing about DGSD Elites is that all 4 learned Shaolin techniques.

BUT, who is the best with Shaolin techniques? Let's see:

Xiao Feng - learned from Reverend Xuanku from age 7 to 16. Presumably continued to practice thereafter.

Xiao Yuanshan - learned from Shaolin since 30 years ago (confirmed in the novel).

Murong Bo - learned from Shaolin since 1 - 2 years ago? Not too sure.

Jiumozhi - learned after Murong Bo gave him.

So out of all 4 Elites, Jiumozhi actually had the LEAST time to practice it, maybe a few years at the most. And yet, we see that he mastered the 72 arts to an INSANEly high level.

Given how much longer XIao Yuanshan had to practice several of the 72 arts (30 years), and how good he was already before laying hands on them, it would be a shame if he's not more proficient at Shaolin supreme arts than Jiumozhi. Not to mention, Xiao Yuanshan concentrated on just a few arts, whereas Jiumozhi didn't have time to focus on any of them, since he tried to learn all of them.

Can you explain how you arrived at this conclusion?

Well, JMZ took the shortcut by skipping the (presumably long winded) internal portions of all the 72 arts.

It must be noted though, that skipping the internal portion did not seem to have any detrimental effect to the effectiveness of the arts if another strong inner force was there to power them.

But in fact, Xiao Yuanshan did the same skippage! As noted by Sweeper Monk:

    萧居士、慕容居士,大轮明王、天竺波罗星师兄本身早具上乘内功,来本寺所习的,只不过七十二绝技的运用法门 ,谁有损害,却一时不显。明王所练的,本来是逍遥派的小无相功吧?

Xiao Yuanshan was already uber uber powerful 30 years ago. He concentrated on < 5 supreme arts over the next 30 years. On the other hand, Jiumozhi started out with about 2x more internal energy, but he only had a few years (< 5 ?), and he tried to learn most, if not all, 72 arts -- which means he couldn't have concentrated on any of them as much as Xiao Yuanshan.

Therefore, logically speaking, I really think that Xiao Yuanshan's mastery of his Shaolin supreme arts should be godly better than Jiumozhi. Now, Jiumozhi's mastery of the arts that he demonstrated were simply INSANE. Logically speaking, I think It should follow that Xiao Yuanshan's mastery is next to only Sweeper Monk and Damo.

if i am not wrong, there was a conversation between XYS and MRB during the Shaolin fight, with each asking each why he is hiding in Shaolin for more than 10 years and the answer each gave to each other was than they were looking for something...

    You are correct!

OK, so Murong Bo has learned Shaolin supreme arts for about 30 years also... he must have hidden there in secret, and continued to perform his normal affairs in the open. Then very recently, like 1 or 2 years before DGSD, he faked his death.

Which means Jiumozhi may have had 10+ years learning it too. Which means Xiao Yuanshan doesn't have the Godly Advantage of More Practice Time any more.

That's not hard for ZWJ since he already has a top notch internal power after learning 9Yang and QKDNY. All he has to do is remember the moves of Dragon Claw and that's not a incredibly hard task for ZWJ who even masters Taichi Fist/Sword so easily.

Yes, that's what I'm saying. XYS, MRB and JMZ had vast intermal power. So, they could learn the 72 great arts. What they lacked was the enlightenment.
