Default Turning Points: LOCH if the Gong Nam 5 Freaks *didn't* die?

In every story, there is a certain turning point that ends the build up and places the storyline firmly on course towards its predetermined (by the writer) end. For LOCH, that turning point was the death of the Gong Nam 5 Freaks on Peach Blossom Island. Up until that point, the story sort of just followed Gwok Jing and Wong Yung as they meandered somewhat aimlessly from one adventure to another. With the death of 5 Freaks, the story's eventual ending pattern was set.

So let's change this turning point: everything we know from the beginning of LOCH happens on course as usual, but at the point where the Gong Nam 5 Freaks die at the hands of West Poison Au Yeung Fung and Yeung Hong, the Freaks instead remain alive and well.

If that's the case, how will LOCH end differently?

I guess it'll then lead to the Mt. Hua Tournament and it'll climax there.
