Pai Gow, yes it is a slow game, push very often but if you win, you pay 5% to the house. Only way to win big is to be in the dealer's position (once every round) where you take on all players. Do this only when the dealer is hot( you become the hot dealer, else you will go broke).
Skill level - little
Blackjack, the real objective is not to get 21, contrary to believes promoted by the casinos. The real objective is to beat the dealer, and that can be achieved even if you do not get close to 21.
Different strategies:
1. Guess the next card( many new players do this). Skill level - zero, Players using this method should take up religion instead.
2. Basic Strategy, used by most players. you can win if the cards are with you but the basic strategy is still losing on a long run. Skill level - low( memorising some rules)
3. Basic(and advance counting), strategy used by professional Blackjack players.
Casinos ban counters. Gives you a bigger advantage than Basic strategy.
Skill level - high (including to need to avoid detection).
4. Reverse count strategy, still relatively unknown strategy that can yield good results. Skill level - very high [ If you want to know more, pm me]
Baccarat, this is a game where there is no skills involved. The rules as to when the dealer or player draws another card are predetermined.
One way to play is to observe who is winning at the table, just follow him/her. You have a better chance to win than to use other methods.
In a high stake table at Rama Casino, a girl betted 13 hands in a row, all on player. She won 12 hands out of 13, she won $110,000, at $10,000 per bet. Every one at the table betted with her, we all won, and the house did not get a penny in commissions.
She is Thai too. Guess what, after 3 months, I never saw her again. She lost eveything plus more.
For those of you who are Canadians, do you remember the Chinese guy who ripped off the Chinese Government of US$10 billion, and escaped to Vancouver before they could arrest him. I can tell you some interesting stories about him at the Niagara Falls Casinos.
Enough of rambling, I hope I did not bored you.
