center of the strip and cheapest would be imperial palace, harrah, or flamingo. don't stay off the strip, like pembie said even if it states that it's only 5 minutes away from the strip you'd be paying close to 20bucks because of traffic and tip. if you're going to vegas just stay on the strip. if you want to save another 50bucks then either circus circus or riviera, those two are at the north end of the strip but it's still walking distance to the center of the strip. don't go any further out then those two because it gets kind of dark and scary at night from there.

Thanks a lot for the advice Pemberly and GuGu!! So I've been looking into Luxory and Imperial...still debating. Have either of you guys stayed at those places though? And if so, how is the overall impression and most importantly, hehe, the food in those hotels?

I've stayed at Imperial Palace before. It's the cheapest and shabbiest hotel on the strip. If price is your main criterion, then this is the best place.

Didn't try the food there, but it does have a buffet. There are plenty of restaurants on the strip, including the much-loved sushi buffet Todai. I recommend not limiting yourself to the restaurants in your hotel.

Thanks PJ!! I like the fact that Imperial doesn't have resort fees, but Luxor has a deal for two free show tickets with pretty good options... I'm so wishy washy at making decision!!!

Where is that sushi buffet you are referring to? I've heard the buffet at Belligio is the best so def gonna pay a visit there. Any other recommendations on places to eat? Once again thanks everyone for the advice/suggestions!!!!

i've stayed at the luxor and i really liked it. instead of an elevator, you ride an inclinator. and if you're lucky, you can get a room with a very beautiful view of the strip. we got a butt view of the sphinx, which had its own charms. for an inexpensive hotel, it's actually very nice quality.

the bellagio buffet is great, but there's usually a crazy long line. the buffet at the mirage is supposed to be really good too, but i've never tried. if you don't want to spend a lot on food or go to buffets all the time, there is a dennys and most of the "malls" have food courts. i got a corn dog for lunch once.

and if you're at a table or playing slots and the girl comes by and you order a drink, order a bottle of water, too. that way, you tip once and you won't have to buy water often bc that gets pricey.

Hehe Pemberly, that butt view must have been entertaining to see every morning Quick question on luxor, so I read that the resort fee includes in room internet right? Wired or wireless?

Its pretty funny, but I'm totally excited to eat in Vegas opposed to anything else! I have a "big" appetite....well at least my eyes are pretty big Most of my spending will prob go there. But some questions on shows and things to do there. Do you guys think Zumanity or KA is the better show? I've heard good things bout both. Also, anyone been to the Tournament of Kings at Excalibur?

Thanks again for all the help Pemberly!! I might just take you up on those deals. Hehehe, I'm assuming you've been to Vegas many times to become such a VIP??

i believe all the hotels have wireless. i'm not sure. you can call the hotel and ask.

i believe ka is the better show. zumanity has more nudity. both are very good though, and you can't really go wrong with any of the vegas shows. i think la reve is supposed to be the best. i've never been to the tournament of kings but it seems kinda cheesy. the excalibur in general is ... pretty cheap and cheesy, haha. i think it's more fun for families, though they do have that (GAY) naked australian dudes show.

i've been only 3 times, but i always want to go back.

pembie is addicted to vegas! ahhahaha so am i. well, actually it's just the feeling of being on vacation, i feel i can do anything i want when i'm on vacation. which can sometimes be very bad.. because i tend to waste a lot of money.

the excalibur has that stage for girls to dance on in the middle of the casino in the blackjack tables area. the dancers from the hotel gets up there and shake whatever they got and strip down to their bra and undies. the girls i saw when i was playing blackjack were pretty nice looking, for a free show. the girls at planet hollywood aren't so bad either. later at night they bring out these girls dressed in undies and bras and deal at blackjack tables. it's called something pit, and some of them get up on the table and dance. it's okay... just not my type.

i also enjoyed the buffet at planet hollywood. they have that king crab buffets for dinner every night i believe. it's a bit pricey but heck it's a buffet. and usually if you're staying at planet hollywood you get 2 for 1 coupons for buffet. and there's a little sandwich shop there too, not bad at all. i was wondering why there was such a long line at first but when i had a bite i understood.

i also have a promo code for the wynn if anyone wants it. but it's a bit pricier at about $199 per night for friday and saturday, and $99 for the other nights.

    ...............

as for my trip i think it's kind of decided that we're staying at the venetian. pembie do you know how they require for incidental charges for one hotel room? the wynn put a hold of $600 on our credit card for our stay, but it was taken off when we left. i'm guessing the venetian will be the same?

I'm leaving in 2 days and I haven't even pack yet. Hope the weather is awesome so I can spend more time at the pool than in the casino.
I would love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code.

is the little sandwich shop pretty big inside, and the foods is on display behind the glass? and there are seats outside on the "patio"? bc i went there, too! the food is pretty good!

i know the venetian needs a credit card for incidentals, but i don't know if they hold any money. you should call them and ask.

    i want crab buffet!

Thanks for the tip. I'll check it out in May when I go to Vegas.

oh no, that's not the one i'm talking about. i did eat there though, i sat outside and had the view of the bellagio watershow. it's a nice location. but there's another small sandwich shop i think it's located between the casino and the shopping center. i'll get the name of it when i go back this time.

mrP, i think the one at PH is called the love pit.. they come out in groups at like midnight and normally guys will stop to stare at them when they walk through the casino. the one at excalibur.. i'm not sure of their times because i lost track of time going from one casino to another and didn't bother to even think about time. seriously, i am that 'lost' when i'm in vegas. i'm just happy that i've never missed my flights back.

oh, that's not the one i'm talking about either. mine was indoors but had a patio in the fake outside.

i got another promo for the bellagio as well, but not as good. it's a certain percentage off depending on how early you book.

i still can't believe you're a girl! PJ is a boy's name! when you ask about these things I automatically think of something inappropriate.

unfortunately, men don't do that for 'free'. they get paid pretty well to strip down to their undies.

pembie, i heard the guys weren't that great looking. i wanted to go but no one in this trip will go with me.
