    I like your old avatar.
I appreciate that, but please don't think I'm in any way like that. I'm just your typical nerdy Asian who likes to read wuxia and watch art films. I do also enjoy singing out of tune karaoke, and I usually score around 93 points.

We're going to be hanging out 'alone'?

I don't expect anyone to look like anything like their avatar. Don't worry about that. Just to be clear, I'm not a tranny. I was born a female.

Damn, now I have to come clean with so much sh!t now that we're meeting up.

    Typo!

Yeah, I don't have much in common with 50 cent (my former avatar). I like some of his music though.

It doesn't matter to me. I don't judge my friends based on trivial matters like that. The inner qualities are much more important to me.

You don't need to reveal yourself to the world. Only the people who go on this trip will get to know the real you.

    The real you...

Alright PJ, which hotel do you like? Not that it matters but I've been looking at hotels in the last few days and the one that stood out was WAYYYY too expensive. And someone said if I'm not a big gambler I should look for something downtown not on the strip.

The strip has some pretty cheap hotels though. Just something to consider.

Ren Wo Xing is correct. There are many affordable hotels even in the strip.
How much do you want to pay? Per night? or Per Person?
Sometimes you may pay a little more but they throw a bunch of freebies.

My favorite hotel is Mandalay Bay. But I should disclose that I like it primarily for its outdoor beach and tropical garden -- which are probably frozen right now. I'm not sure if we'll be able to enjoy any of it in March. Also, it is an expensive hotel (~ $250 minimum).

One of the cheapest hotels on the Strip is Imperial Palace. I stayed there once - not bad. About $60 per night in June.

Last time, I stayed at Monte Carlo, another budget-friendly place. About $80 per night. I would stay there again -- they have better environment than Imperial Palace.

Since we won't have cars, I would recommend staying on the Strip. It is really convenient. When I went to downtown last time, I didn't see much happenin' compared to the Strip.

Let me know if you guys have anything else to recommend.

Dang. I leave, attend a OneRepublic concert, come back and there's 5 pages of discussion on a SPCNET Get-Together?

I'll be up for it except my friends are going on Feb 29-Mar 2. And then I go to Denver on spring break for skiing. But who knows.. if I see that this have a real shot at happening, maybe I'll jump in on the fun too.

I don't think there'll be a very large scale gathering, as in 10-15+ people. But there's a real shot at <10, I think. Easier to organize that way, anyhow.

So wait, are you going by yourself, or with (non-SPCNET) friends?

    No kidding.

Gugu, this is a group activity. We were under the impression that we'd be making decisions as a group.

What????? People! That is around the time I first told you guys I was going! Towards the end of March! That is the only days I have off from work! There are no other possible dates!

Yeah, I'm going with a few non-spcneters. But I'll make sure to sneak away from them to come meet you guys.

TC, didn't you read earlier? A woman never reveals her age! I can't believe you believed me.
