I agree that we should have that option since polygamy was widely accepted back then. In the last thead, I said ZWJ should just go to Persia after doing the nasty with ZZR and ZM but that's only because the ZZR&ZM are crazy biatches. The Persian princess wasn't particularly interesting but at least she always put ZWJ first and she wasn't psycho.

They make good siblings, not a good couple. These two have zero chemistry! As slow as he is in the game of love, even ZWJ knows his true feelings, and sorry to say, but his heart isn’t anywhere near XZ.

I wouldn't say zero chemisty - he was resisting hard to not to kiss her. If Xiao Zhao didn't resist, something would have happened right there right then, with bad consequences for the party. He said at the end thinking back, his feeling towards ZM was more special, didn't mean he considered XZ as not a potential mate. But I agree their personalities were quite similar - it works for some couples, disaster for others.

Anyway, I voted for Chow Chi Yerk because I hate Chiu Ming

I voted for ZM. At the end of the novel, ZWJ had a choice of two girls, ZZR and ZM. Of the two, ZM is IMHO far better than ZZR. I can forgive ZZR for stabbing ZWJ at Ming Peak, but killing YL, nope.

I know ZZR was influenced by her narrow-minded teacher, but alot of her actions were unforgiving; killing YL, leading wudan 1st hero's son on and Emei's display at Shaolin.

ZM on the other hand were always considering ZWJ when doing her 'evil' deeds. She threats wudan with respect at the pagoda after realize that ZWJ had connections to wudan. She sent him the antidote and healing paste before he asked her to. She went against her father and risk her life to save him from his marriage.

ZM has her querks, but she really loves ZWJ. The other girl that also love him is SX. ZZR i think, is a mix of feelings.

As for the ending scene that you mentioned... are you sure it's not feelings that's actually mixed with guilt and etc. except for love?

I will admit that I had never read the novel though.
