There's a lot of truth in what you write heh....
And then there's the matter of---why should a bunch of people spend $ and traveling time to go to a certain place, *cough* Boston *cough* where a certain # of spcneters already reside there and can just stroll out. Who wouldn't like it if everyone goes to THEIR hometown? But so many people, so many places, so little money/time.
I'll be at LAX on july 19th from 8pm-10pm if anyone wants to come stalk me. If you get a picture, you can post it here and I'll admit it was me. ^_^

lol, actually I was so confused I took the time to look this all up - apparently Haymarket is for open-market produce (thanks pemberly - both you and sugar with her Chinatown suggestion are not really grasping that I'm a tourist), Quincy Market is a building (??? then wtf is it called a market?) and Fanueil Hall or however you spell it is a marketplace. All according to Wikipedia.
Anyway, thanks a bunch everyone for the info. The last shirt I bought included 13% sales tax, so I'll be doing a lot of shopping. So be on the look-out - if any of you see a small girl with enormous sunglasses and leggings who is rambling incessantly in an annoying voice, you've probably met Sparky.
Ugh I had another question but I'm so hungry...12:51 am...too late to eat asdfjkl;.

I know. How hard is it for the ones who live in Boston to just pick a Saturday and hang out. It's probably more interesting to talk about it than actually doing it. Which is fine because most of the people in this thread were not even sincere anyway. I'll meet a Victoria Secret model in my bedroom before any of these guys meet each other.
Well, if you're already going there anyway, regardless of whether you're meeting any SPCNETers, then why not meet some SPCNETers as a bonus.
It's like when I met Laviathan: I was on vacation in Amsterdam, and he happened to be nearby. It made sense for us to meet.
Of course, if multiple SPCNETers can plan a trip to a common destination at the same time, that would be ideal

I think your first option is easier.....one person going to a city with a lot of Spcneters already. Of course easier than a bunch of Spcneters coming from a bunch of different cities.
In fact, I know of 3+ people who live in my city and even then, I wouldn't really spend the effort to meet them heh. But then again, they probably dunno that I'm from that city in the first place ahaha....
I don't think anyone is discounting the possibility of a meeting/gathering among the folks that live in the same state or city. Also, it is likely that people are open to meeting other Spcnet members if they happen to be in the area vacationing or on a business trip. However, it's less probable, as Radken had alluded, for people to spend money and fly to some *destination* just simply for the sole purpose of meeting some strangers that they have met over the internet.
