What is "roller coaster" in Chinese?

Someone told me it is "Guo Shan Che" - Mountain-Passing Vehicle.
Another said it's "Yun Xiao Fei Che" - Cloud Flying Vehicle.

Personally, I think Guoshan Che sounds stupid in both Chinese and in the English meaning.

So yeah, what do Chinese people know roller coaster as?

My parents call it "Guoshan Che". I never heard them call it Yun Xiao Fei Che. Could that be a Mandarin term for it?

Both terms are correct, just that "Yun Xiao Fei Che" looks and sounds alot nicer.

I believe "Yun Xiao Fei Che" was originally a "name" for the thrill-ride in some amusement centres. It came about as people were so used to calling that name.

I think "Guo Shan Che" should have been a name for roller-coaster rides, before it got the "alias" "Yun Xiao Fei Che".

IMO, "Yun Xiao Fei Che" sounds more "attention-seeking", a fanciful name for roller-coaster ride.

"Guo shan che" seems to pinpoint to roller-coaster rides that have tracks on ground or something solid whereas "Yun xiao fei che" seems to pinpoint at rides with only the tracks, and tracks that are high above ground.

I thought "Yun Xiao Fei Che" sounded more like a "commercialised name" for "Guo Shan Che" due to the idea of some amusement park management...
