Humor: Washington D.C.'s Laughing News Anchorman

I don't live in the Washington, D.C. area and I'm not familiar with the city's local newscasts, but I've recently gotten a kick out of watching their NBC affiliate's veteran newscaster Jim Vance. Now Mr. Vance is a veteran newscaster with more than thirty years experience, and is respected in the Washington area for his fine work as a reporter. The man also is known, however, for his great sense of humor...and for cracking up during news reports when the story is especially funny.

Here are three of Mr. Vance's best on-air crack-ups:

According to D.C. locals, Vance loses it on the air at least once a year with these humorous stories. It doesn't get him into trouble with management, however, because local audiences love it.

I wish my local newscasts were this fun.

And it wasn't only Vance that was laughing, the other newscasters were laughing as hard as him.

I liked the tripping model one the most myself. The model's tripping by itself was only kind of funny, but when Vance and George Michael (the sportscaster, not the pop singer) started cracking up...it became hilarious!

How could she? She was modeling! And maybe those shoes were part of the package? hehehehe Plus she can't just stop in front of everyone and take her shoes off. Models are told to just get up and keep going if they fall. Plus she probably wasn't thinking and just wanted to get her face out of there.
