Let's compile a list of poison here and have a survivor's game out of it. What do you guys think?

    Poisons

    Poisonous Animals

    Duan Yu's Poison Toad
    Xiao Long Nu's Bees

    Poisonous Martial Arts

You might want to have a look at Mafia games, as an alternative to survivor games. There's the basic framework of mafia trying to kill the town, but one can impose a number of variations on top of that. I've seen games where a number of players can join together for special actions, ones where players can duel to kill each other or knock each other out for the night, and many others. With some narrative, the basic Mafia game can be given a wuxia flavour, with the narrator Xiao Feng trying to find out the identity of the killer, while the killer Xiao Yuanshan is killing off his teachers, aka the town.

Mafia would certainly be very different from Survivor.
Would it work for online players though?

Not a bad idea but why don't we finish the 3 survivors we have right now? I started 2 but they have not even started yet. PJ also started a novels' survivor.

I've only ever played it online. The best games crack on without waiting for a majority vote, thus maintaining a tempo and a constant tension. It also helped when the GM fleshes out the descriptions with a narrative, to help get people into the mood. The last game I played in involved 70+ players signed up, at least half of whom were very active, generated 4000+ posts in just over a month, goodness knows how many PMs and outside forums, and lots and lots of rancour and mutual accusing from numerous backstabbings and counterstabbings. That's by some distance the exception though, as most normal sized games have around 100-odd posts. If the town really gets into it though, it can run to more, as there is interrogation and counter-interrogation to test the mafia's facade.

    Mafia is an excellent idea!

Haven't played an online version, only with groups of friends. Willing to try.
