The guy is the Emperor of Dali and now dares interest in martial arts, I'm sure he would have no problem finding quality instruction.
    Reverend Rongku prepared himself.

Suddenly, he toss his hands and screamed: "I am not human! I am an animal!"

The crowd startled at such a bizarre beginning to the story.

But did he? In the novel, not that I know of.

Even if he did want instruction, there aren't that many experts in Dali who can bring him up to speed that fast. Plus, the emperor's got other (more important) things to be concerned about.

He did connect with a series of chained flying kicks on the Liao soldiers in that chapter. Which was shocking because that was the first time in the whole book which saw him connecting with a kung fu attack other then 6MSJ. All his other non-6MSJ successes were random grabbing which activated his BMSG.

And he could block XF's LDA palm with his own palm. Another shock because he never did learn palm techniques which we know of.

That was when Duan Yu got LUCKY. Most other times when he wanted to use 6MSJ, he failed. And he did NOT get any better with his ability to utilize 6MSJ as the novel ended.

WHy? He hadn't gotten any more martial arts instruction that would make him stronger yet.

Woot ive got LBWB now anyway,

After XF gave DY the advice that he should just use 1 Sword, he became much better at it and revealed no flaws. He defeated MRF and only panicked cuz he didnt want to kill MRF when MRF ran at him. DY at this point would already be able to use to some effect, at least 1 Sword of his 6MSJ. And as we know, XF thought he could not block that.

Advice can be received from guys like Kurong who can give advice how to control internal energy and such, since they are already pros at finger skills.

DY being able to block XF's palm is also a good point. He didnt learn any palm skills, so we assume he used a generic palm to match supposedly XF's XL18Z. Which is ****ing amazing if you ask me. Cuz XZ would have stuff like XWXG and Tianshan Arts while DY will only have his internal to back him up.

It may be argued that XF divided his power by hitting DY and XZ but it again brings us back to "what does 2 palms do to your palm power" discussion.

Keep in mind also that XF wasn't trying to hurt XZ and DY. It did seem pretty odd that XF didn't just yell for them to stop since they have so much respect for him.

    二人都是大吃一惊,眼见掌力袭来,犹如排山倒海般,只得举掌挡架,砰砰两声,四掌相撞,掌风激 荡

Basically XF's palms were described to be very strong.

I think it makes sense if XF used his full force. He has seen XZ fight and
was shocked of his internal and fine palm skills.

He saw DY fight and acknowledged that he could not block the 1 Sword.

If he did not use his full force, theres even a possibility that he will get
injured by clashing palms with XZ and DY like that.

And i was only awed that DY was able to BLOCK a palm like that.

Yes, those palms were strong but there were no intent to hurt, much less kill. For that reason, it's hard to ascertain much relevant information from that exchange.

Lol we can ascertain that Duan Yu is able to block XF's strong XL18Z using a generic palm, and this shows that he is not that useless in fighting.

Kiu Fung probably can but at the sacerfice of one of his body parts. Like Duan Yu would not know what he was doing and accidently poke out his eye with 6 Mak Divinie Swords.

DY had not learned proper weapon and palm teechniques before becoming emperor, but he had memorised the full formula for 6MDs and LBWW. he had mastered fully the qinggong technique which had inner power training properties as you use it, so you will gain in inner power the more you use it. he got more and more practise with 6MDS and with a bit of advice, he improved in battle knowledge. XF only gave a pointer. he never had to teach DY to fight, DY figured it out on his own. he got better the longer he fought. after his parents got killed, he pretty much figured out how to use 6MDS properly, and when he became emperor, his uncle and the elders from the temple are supposed to have imparted to him the full martial knowledge of the duan family. with his intelligence and inner power, and advice from experts, it wouldn't take him long to become a great fighter, just like LHC went from ordinary fighter to invincible swordsman with 2 weeks of training in DG9J.
