I luv Fung as Lang Huet. A strange role for him. Zhui Ming is similar to Kau Chung in the beginning. BTW, it's TVB's so pretty sure if Fung isn't Mou Ching, he is Zhui Ming.

Why would u want Mou Ching to be not crippled?

I think the fact that Mou Ching, being crippled and has a weak body (thus cannot learn martial art), can still become the most formidable fighter amount the 4 Constables greatly adds to his appeal. The fact that he has so much against him but still comes out the top makes him appealing.

Taking away Mou Ching's hadicap, he will be just another powerful fighter (ok, powerful fighter with sad backstory).

It's like Fa Mun Lau in Advanture of Luk Siu Fung. If he's not blind, will people still be so awed at his positive approaching to life?

i juz feel dat being crippled for the entire series can b tiring for d actor....n he can't fite like a real swordsman
and since nicky wu's mou ching is not crippled, so i tot it wud b fine to take away dis handicap

since d story goes like dis, n his credibility actually comes or results from the crippling, then mayb he shud b crippled

i've never followed the entire series of the four constables b4, juz here n there whenever i saw it on the tv so i dun reli know their story...

Shirley Yeung is not a bad choice...even thougt not a fan of her but she definitely look gorgeous in ancient costume.I prefer Nancy more if tvb will get her the opportunity....

Sammul had his head shaved for The Last Princess. Don't know if his hair will grow back by July. He, Bosco, and Kenneth shaved their head for Wong Fei Hung and I don't recall how long it took those guys to grow back their hair.
Unless Sammul chooses to film bald.

Sammul turned 29 recently (May 4th) however judging from his latest photos lookswise his aging has reversed. He actually looks younger than when he was on Triumph of the Skies and The White Flame. He has the fair skin Chinese women all desire using makeup and his skin is unlined and with those innocent eyes of his he couldn't easily pass for under 20. (hee hee i'm glad he does not read this blog-- he may find these remarks upsetting)

I personally do not want to see Sammul play the part of someone without legs and not doing anything physical. However the past few years Sammul took on roles that were vastly different from what he's done so you never know. In the China series The Last Princess he loses his voice.

If he's allowed to get physical I'd say he'd end up with the youngest Constable role. He had trained to be one of the best swordsman for the China series Legend of Chu Liu Liang but because of his committment to do The Academy 2 he lost this right hand man to the main character role and ended up having to take the smaller role of being the king marked for assasination. The producer wanted him very much in his series.

Why are some members here so against their fave playing Mou Ching because the character is crippled?

Mou Ching is an awesome character, and in the novels, he's involved in fights as much as the rest of the constables.

I thought any good actor will want to play Mou Ching because of the challenge the character provides.

Kidd, I can tell based on what people who know the series say, is that this character is one of the more interesting and challenging ones. However in all the years I've watched movies seeing someone without legs is always disconcerting. That is why I said what I said.

Anyways that is what I thought. As for Sammul himself, the last few years he's taken on just about every challenging role that comes his way so like I said you'll never know what he'd say if they offered the role to him.

As for women I'd like to see Li Qian of Twin of Brothers back. Her chemistry with Raymond is the best and as an actress she is very good. Li Qian:

Yes Kidd, I agree that the char of Mou Qing will reli test the acting skills of the artiste so thats y i think some1 like Ray will be able to protray it well : )..... but then i think TVB has got the final say cos it depends on their scripts lol... =)

haha if Zhui Ming is cheeky and humorous i think it'll do good for Ron. Ron is boring and stiff in serious roles, he needs a livelier one lol

You forgot one series. Triumph of the Skies Ron was serious but his interaction and seriousness with his brother was very good.
