SUMMER '08 PLANS

what will ya'll be doing this summer? damn, i can't believe my year as a college freshman has ended..this is really sad. LMAO. no, seriously..i don't want school to end..i was having such a blast ughhh. -__-

anyways. as for me, i will be a busy *** ***** and frankly, i'm looking forward to all the events that will (hopefully) take place. so far, the things i have planned are: a trip to New Jersey (Six Flags, Atlantic City) with friends, summer class, work, heading to the West Coast<3 for a family visit and reminisce my childhood years LMAO, real-estate license, facial license, heading down south to Georgia with family and a trip to Florida to visit friends, spend a day shopping in NYC with my best friend and holler at cute boys, and hopefully, if it all works out, my friends will come with me to Taiwan for 3 weeks to learn mandarin! OMG OMG OMG. what's good in Taiwan!?!!??
And let's not forget those days where you spend 10 hours lingering at the beach with friends or those yummy cook-out sessions with people you love so ****ing dearly. and also my birthday! woot woot.

Jenny, sweetie, it sounds like you have a full card this summer. Honestly, once you entered the workforce, kiss your summer plans goodbye. You will be slaving for money and life will revolve around work and family. In addition to holidays, you can look forward to getting a week or two off once a year for vacation.

Therefore, I don't have any plan this summer. But vacation destinations later this year will be Japan and Korea. whooooo hooooooo!!!!!!!!

Actually yea I do have some plans in the summer. Hang out at my beach house for a couple of days (relax, party and such), work, intern, workout, going back to Australia and England, surf (well not really surf because I was terrified after that shark attack near the Cali coast-bloody hell of a shark). Trying to get girls! But maybe I'll meet someone hot and nice at the beach or at a party or something or maybe get back together with Daria- I DON'T KNOW.

Not be a whistle blower, but its all true. Once you are in the workforce be prepared to work close to more than 40hrs per week, as for part-time is between 25+hrs per week. Like a mountain of cash, so where can I spent it? My suggestion to you is enjoy those vacations, importantly due to hard US economic times start saving.

My personal experience I managed to worked close to 45-50hrs per week, if given the available hrs. As for part-time is like 25-30hrs due to company budget settings.

But seriously, I know my plans sound anticlimactic but I'm actually very excited, plus if I'm lucky I'll throw in some travel (the issue here being the wallet). Oh yeah, there's a good chance I'll visit the Windy City.

Speaking of summer, did you know that Oxford and Cambridge (and other UK universities I'm assuming) have off from June to October? That's crazy!!! I think the British are just better at relaxing than we are - workers there get 28 days mandated paid vacation! I'm so moving!!!

i'm trying to make some plans for this summer, but there seems to be no where that i want to go. i've been to a lot of places in the US and Canada already. And i'm very much a city girl, so I don't like to go to rural places. I was thinking about going to Vegas again. but it would be nice to try someplace new. any suggestions?

okay, i'm really ****ing pissed off now. turns out, my summer class got cancelled and it was supposed to start today and i didn't receive any notifications for it so i waited a good 15 minutes outside the classroom and no one showed up!? so i contacted the professor and i find out its CANCELLED?!!?!?!!? madd ****ing grimey 'cause it's not like i can register for a diff class 'cause its too ****ing late and i'm not about to do summer 2 session 'cause that will just **** up the rest of my summer plans. WOW. i hope somebody bomb that stupid mother****ing college down.
