Default Why was Xie Xun chosen to be the temp sect leader?

Though he is supremely intelligent and his martial arts rivals anyone in the sect, I can't think of many traits that he is superior to compared to people like Yang Xiao or White Browed Eagle. The other two seem just as capable intelligence and martial arts wise, but they seem to more calm cool and collected, as well as less emotional. It seems that Yang Xiao is on a higher level of martial arts training too. Why Xie Xun of all people?

Yang Xiao was just a young man back then so he isn't as experienced. White Brow isn't as loyal to Ming Sect (hence he created his own sect) so that's why he wasn't chosen. I think the Sect Leader were also close friends with XX.

Not only was XX intelligent and formidable, he was also caring and compassionate. He was the only person besides the Cult Leader to attend the Purple Dragon's wedding ceremony. Everyone else was too petty and that doesn't make a good leader.

The only reason he went on a killing spree was because his trusted teacher killed his whole family and raped his wife. That turn him into a person hell bent on revenge.
I would love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code.

XX was a highly capable person before he went on his rage killing. He had the most potential to be a great leader.

White brow was already old, they want young blood.

Yang Xiao - I am not sure, he seems highly capable, but did not get along with everyone in the sect.

he was yang potian's martial arts newphew, so maybe yang potian thought highly of himj. yang xiao never tried to become the leader, maybe the left and right guardians are not supposed to be the leaders, but stay in their positions to help protect the religion. yang xiao never supported anyone to become the leader because he was in the highest position since ming cult was without a leader already.

Default Why did Yeung Ding Teen select Tse Tsun as Deputy Cult Leader?

In the letter that served as his last will and testament, Ming Cult Leader Yeung Ding Teen indicated that he wanted Golden-Haired Lion King Tse Tsun to serve as the Deputy Ming Cult Leader after Yeung's death.

Why did Yeung Ding Teen choose Tse Tsun for this role over his other capable subordinates? Yeung Siu, Fan Yiu, Yan Teen Sing, and Wai 1 Siu also had the martial arts skills and resourcefulness to handle this role. Why did Yeung Ding Teen favor Tse Tsun?

Heh I made the exact same thread with almost the same exact questions a couple months ago. It got maybe 10-20 replies with nothing really conclusive. Most thought it was because he was most compassionate and loyal, as he was the only one who showed up for the Purple Dragon King's marriage. Their MAs were all comparable, though it looked like Yang Xiao pulled ahead later.

    Question

Was anyone in Ming Cult ever got curious of the whereabout of Yang Dingtian? Supposedly no one knows he did pass away, they only knew he locked himself up to learn Qian Kun Da Nou Yi. But for so many years, no one actually go to look for him? And of all the places, it is Yang Buhui's bed that leads to the secret place?? This whole thing is odd.

They were all curious, but they didn't know where to begin searching for their ex-leader. The one place where they would have found him was the one place that they were forbidden to go (the secret passage beneath Gwong Ming Peak).

Which makes it unbeliavable. The only place they cannot enter is the most likely place that Yang Dingtian was in, and yet even after so many years no one have the courage to check it out, even when the news broke out that the 6 sects were going to attack them. If Yang Xiao had checked it out, he would have been the one with the highest level of QKDNY instead of the bits and pieces he got, and Ming Cult would never have needed ZWJ assistance. I'm bringing this up because the story is a little far fetched just to accomodate ZWJ's story flow passage to great level.

It wasn't a matter of lack of courage. This was wulin, where obedience to elder/leader directives meant EVERYTHING. The rules said that no Ming Cult members other than the Cult Leader or a person he personally authorizes can enter that passage. Violating this rule was tantamount to treason. A good cult member just didn't do it.

It makes no sense to us, of course, but within wulin's own internal logic, it works.

YX was taught directly by Yang Ding Tian. I don't think YX would have gone beyond level 4 due to his internal energy. He probably would not be sufficient to fend off the six sects in the way ZWJ did.
