You know, I've pretty much given up on ZZ having happy love life where he gets married and have kids because IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN! He's destined to serve Justice Bao for the rest of his life and have no love life.

I don't know. According to TVB's Justice Bao, GongSun Ce had a family and a daughter. I'm not sure about the Taiwanese version.

Thirty-five episodes so far. I read that this series had 5 cases, but I've only seen three. I'm guessing they're splitting it in half and so the last two cases will be longer than the first three?

I felt the same way watching the old BQT - ZZ had quite a few potentials from the 'old version'.

I remember hearing an explanation that ZZ has many enemies, so if he ever had a family, his work would endanger them. Duh...so police should all give up their families and be celibate? I imagine BZ would have many enemies, yet he married and had a family. Excuses, excuses, excuses.

I think ancient Chinese conceptual/idealogical tendencies can sometimes be dramatically black and white, to have BOTH of anything seemed greedy. So, for ZZ to even contemplate having the best of BOTH worlds would not be cool? heroic? upstanding?

Then it could be ZZ is not someone who could handle emotions, maybe being a dutiful soldier was more emotionally 'safe' and manageable than being a lover or family man?

I have to give it to ZZ in this new BQT version though, he did genuinely try. This time, it was the woman who gave up on him. Although, he did look like his pride was hurt rather than he himself.

any idea if Michael Tong's character is in any of the stories other than the first one about the prince being substituted with a badger? His character is the guy in white who stole the Emperor's jade piece because he wanted a fight with Chen Chiu

Has anyone seen the new Bao Qing Tian? How was it?

I know it's already mentioned in one of the Judge Bao's thread but I thought it deserved its own thread.

I'm a big fan of the Judge Bao's series by Jin Chao Qun. I think I've watched all of them except for the 2006. I'm also looking forward to watching that one. I heard it's good but is too long. I can't wait for this one though!! It's said to be out in Viet Dub over the summer! Yippee!

He isn't. He looks like him, but it's actually Michael Tong. Um, in the picture above, does anyone know which character is which? I know which one is Justice Bao and which is the scholar, but what about the other 3?
